My roommate has thyroid cancer and was treated with radioactive iodine last week. This necessitated me having to spend a week at my daughter's house, which is not a bad thing, but it threw me out of my routine of cardio right after work every day. The little voice in my head kept telling me that I could just do a Spark Workout video or go for a walk instead of my usual bike ride, but I made the choice to ignore it. While I did stay on track with my nutrician, I didn't even bother to do my weekly weigh in today, because I can tell it would not be good news. On the bright side, I am back to my regular routine since coming home yesterday...with a vengence! I thought taking a week off would hurt my stamina and endurance, but IT DIDN'T. I actually decided to add 10 minutes to my daily cardio routine and have been successful at it for 2 days. YAY ME! I'm back on the wagon and even better than before. Looking forward to weighing in next Monday.
