Dreaming Of The Future & My 3 Pound Weight Loss

This week I dropped 3 pounds. I exercised (although not everyday) and ate well and lost 3 pounds without feeling deprived. I'm pretty happy. Not quite excited. I think I'll have to hit 10 pounds to start getting into the "OMG this is happening" phase. Currently I am just happy that I am not really haven't any real issues.

I am dreaming about the what-if's. Most of them should be the When's instead. If it takes me 1 year or 5 I will reach my goal. Until then I'll daydream of my new haircut and color (when I reach my goal weight). I wont have to worry about outfits, because I'm sure I already would have sewn quite a bit.

Make It Work

So, I'm a big fan of Project Runway and am using my newly discovered healthy lifestyle to my advantage by working on clothing projects a size smaller than what I am. Working so hard on a piece of clothing (considering the fact that I am new to sewing), it will be a nice reward-more than that of an outfit I just buy from a store.

And since I just took a 6 day vacation from my work to help plan out and jump start my week old healthy eating and exercise plan, I'll have extra time to start working on a cute top.

High Protein Diet? Healthy?

So far I have been keeping track of my calories, but not where the calories are coming from. Today I decided to plug in the last days worth of calories and realized how much protein I had been eating. Although I am not following the menu given by sparkpeople, I am slowly incorporating it's program to design my meal plan and keep in on track with the recommended calorie intake. So far I realized that I had been eating the recommended amount of carbs, but eating 70% protein instead of 50%. I have been eating lean meats (I LOVE these seasoned frozen chicken breasts 170 calorie already cooked, just heat and eat), soy, and nuts. I would barely have eaten less than 10 grams of fat if it weren't for these soy bars I can't seem to get enough of.

Is that OK to live off of that little fat?

It seems low, but in all honesty I am feeling full and very satisfied with my food selection. And I'm not sure if it's because it's high protein but I have been drinking like a fish!

    Sounds like you are really giving it a good effort. I can't give a suggestion of whether you are ocnbsuming enough fat or not cause I don't know what you consider low. emoticon

Ok, I said "No, Thanks" today when a coworker offered me Pizza Hut Breadsticks (a personal favorite). Trust me... the wheel was turning when she asked me. The one thing I asked "Is it worth it?"
