How often should I blog

Well, I just read my last blog entry. It seems I promised to blog 3 times a week. Obviously that didn't happen because that was July 18.

Even though I haven't blogged I have been active in a spark team which is keeping me engaged even though I haven't achieved my goals. So let me resolve to blog once a week. That seems like something I can do.

Well , looks like I haven't blogged since May 9. After reading today's coaching session it seems like it is time to start again.

I have been consistent with my cardio exercise for several years but I haven't given enough attention to weight training and calorie intake. Sunday I strained my calf muscle in a spinning class. The next day it felt better so I went to class and did okay.
Tuesday evening went to another class, it felt good during the class but as I walked out of the gym I could feel that pain.

This may a blessing in disguise , I plan to focus on calorie intake this week and starting an upper body work out plan. I will limit my cardio to walking as tolerated.

And I will blog at least 3 times a week

  


Can sharing your goals hurt your weight loss progress

I just read the blog about sharing your weight loss goals. I find that when I share my goals with some family members they start watching what I am eating and commenting on my food choices. For those reasons I like to keep my goals to myself. The only one I have shared them with is one of the instructors at the gym. She had noticed my intensity at the gym and commented so I shared my goals with her. She is very encouraging.

I have the exercise portion of this process under control. Now I have to place more focus on proper food choices.

    I agree with you that sharing the goals can be a problem especially when those people are the intrusive or over nuturing kind. I prefer to only tell a few close people that I really trust.

Changed my ticker

I got tired of looking at my weight on my ticker when I posted. That number was driving me crazy so I changed it to pounds lost. Pounds lost seems like more positive feedback. emoticon
