goals for today

Monday, September 30, 2013

Today
1. drink 3 of my 32 ounce bottles of water
2. eat 5 veggies
3. eat one fruit.
4. Trust God in it all.

I was noticing today...........

that my jeans slip on right out of the dryer
that I can move easier
I am more flexible

Yesterday as all the other Grandparents and parents sat and snacked on pizza......... I was over in the playground area playing with the children. I helped the bigger ones ( two 6 and an 8 year old ) ride the "zip-line". I played house with the little ones...( a 3 year old..two 2 year olds). I had more fun than they did and kept on moving.

God is good.

What a great grandmom! Keep on sticking to those goals - sounds like you are doing great and seeing results because of the choices you're making. Hope you make those parents at the playground jealous with your energy!! emoticon

going forward.

Sunday, September 29, 2013

Forgetting what lies behind and looking forward to what lies ahead...I press on.Phil 3:14

This may be hard but I am worth the effort to become healthy. Nothing that is easy is worth doing.

I realize that I should not be upset over just a "little" success. It may take me longer than expected, but I will get there. I will stay healthy as I possibly can .

My goal is for today.

1. drink lots of water
2. do not overeat
3. move -move move
4. Worship and thank God for His many gifts...one of which is me.

Thanks friends!

One day at a time...a little at a time...you will get there because YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!
Continued blessings and hugs,

You made me think of a poster I used to see in the middle school class ~ God doesn't make junk!

So very true that we have to relax in Him and know He cherishes every part of us, even our sometimes small successes.

I needed some motivation

Saturday, September 28, 2013

I needed some motivation. I have been back on track for a couple months but am getting tired of not much change in my weight. I am feeling better. I can move better. I am even sleeping better.....but I need to keep on going.

Perhaps I should say to anyone who does not know me and reads this... I am 63 years old and have been overweight for almost 40 years. So hear is my motivation.....

This is Brooke after making 3 goals in a soccer game

This is Deborah and her two boys doing a "mud-run"

Eden is our youngest Granddaughter....she is 6 weeks now.

This is another Granddaughter being a princess...and I could go on and on....there are 13 of them in all...If that isn't enough reason to be healthy....tell me..
WHAT IS????

You certainly do have a great reason for wanting to be as healthy as possible and as trim as you want to be. Your family is beautiful! It is so good to see these pictures. Eden is the sweetest baby. The princess is so precious! Brooke is part of your success. I can see that. And seeing Deborah doing so well and her boys too, how they have grown. God Bless you Nancy!! emoticon You can do it!!!

Nancy, What a beautiful family. I'm sure they want you to be around and healthy for a long time! Families are the best motivation of all. And that little Eden - what a pretty baby she is. I'm enjoying those precious little girls vicariously through my friends emoticon . But I do have 5 precious little grandSONS!

You can do this Nancy! emoticon

I had the same problem with the scales moving. Keep records of other things too...
how much better you are at walking, how your clothes are fitting, the changes you see in the mirror. Hang on to any improvments and keep going forward.
remember its not getting easier, you are getting better.
even if the scales dont move, you can. Dont give up.
and your grandchildren are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
