Calories and such

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

well on one of my teams part of a challenge is staying in your calorie range. I have been having a hard time getting to the low end of my calories. By the time I get done with dinner I do not want to eat anything else. I am full and if I do eat, I am uncomfortable the rest of the night. I have been upping my exercise and starting to lose a little bit here and there. I am wondering if my calories are set right for me here. please feel free to look at my trackers and any suggestions will be appreciated. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I noticed on the 12th you had 438 calories for breakfast and all of it was sugary and not nutritious at all.
Then you had no lunch? That is really a no-no. You have to eat 3 good meals a day and a snack in between would be good also.
It takes some tweaking so just work on getting in your lunch and having a better breakfast.

You also had a 500 calorie snack all white potatoes (too much sugar) and jelly and peanut butter. The peanut butter was a good choice.

On the 11th I noticed Dinner was 2 slices of bread and spaghetti. One or the other would have been better choices.

Your exercise is looking good.

Try for more wholesome foods for snacks, like Vegetables, fruit maybe with some peanut butter. Look around, check out the calories and carbs in different foods.

HAVE YOU EVER

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Have you ever tried emoticonor emoticon with a emoticonunderneath you. not easy at all. He will be sleeping and sure enough when I get down on the floor he wakes up. and I am very quiet while doing this. the tv is turned way down. I don't know how he knows. I get on hands and knees and here he comes underneath me licking my face and wagging his tale. mind you he is bigger than the pictures now. He gets his shots on Saturday. the vet is 30 minutes away and he does not like riding. he cries the whole time he is in the car. should be an interesting trip. I will have to put him in his cage when I want to do my yoga and jillian michaels I guess as much as I hate to.

Well, there is nothing wrong with crate training. ALso maybe some formal training will help. Either way, happy you are exercising and willing to what it takes.

I got complimented tonight

Wednesday, April 07, 2010

I saw a friend that I have not seen since last summer and she asked me if I have been losing weight. I said yes I have. I could feel my face light up. I was so happy. So I must be doing something right. Yeah ME

Way to go! Maybe you could start a compliment jar and put a little slip of paper with the person's name, date, and what they said to you. I bet you would fill it up by the end of the year!

ON A ROLL

Monday, April 05, 2010

I have walked 3 out of 5 days. my shins and bottom of feet are killing me. I don't know if I need different socks. My sneakers are only a year old. has anyone tried the new sketchers or reebok shape ups? You go to reebok.com and can actually make your own sneaker in the colors you want. actually kinda cool. there has to be a difference between doing watp at home and walking outside on pavement. I gained 4 lbs last week which is discouraging but I will keep going. I want to get out of the 190's so bad and I just stay there or go up. I don't know if this is a plateau that I have hit or what.

They're pricey but I totally love my MBTs!! They cured my plantar fasciitis that i had in both feet that physical therapy and 2 shots of cortisone couldn't do!! That's my recommendation!! Glad you're not giving up tho!! Refocus and try to figure out what's going on. HUGS!!

I feel for you lady....I do the plateau thing a lot....I found that if I really hit the water, that it washes some weight right off...and generally stays...unless I get lazy and not work out as hard. Don't get frustrated...it'll come....

    Keep on rollin' :)
I walked 3 miles yesterday and got a blister. I think maybe it was how i was walking. I have new shoes and new athletic socks so I know it can't be those.

I have heard of those shoes and they are way out of my budget. I hope you get some good walking shoes.

I have not heard of these shoes, I will check it out. Are you drinking your water? When I increase my water intake I start losing faster. I usually try to drink at least 10 glasses a day. It helps fill me up and keep me full. Just take it One Day at a Time.

I just read this today on Spark's Family Health and wellness.
Aromatherapy for the Whole Family

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants and aromatic plant compounds to affect someone's mood or health. In France, it has been incorporated into conventional medicine to treat infections and disease. In the US, it is widely used for its ability to affect a person's emotional state. Here are some ways you can use aromatherapy to create a healthier home.

* In the bath: Try this bath before bed to help you or your kids (or all of you!) sleep more soundly. Dilute 5 drops of lavender oil in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil, such as almond or coconut oil. Add to the bathwater, using caution to avoid slipping. Lavender helps promote relaxation and sleep.
* Inhalation: Into a basin of steaming water, add a few drops of an essential oil, like marjoram. Lean your head over the bowl and cover with a towel, and inhale the steam for 10 minutes. Marjoram can help to clear congestion.

Sure hope you kick the colds! It was beautiful here all week, got up to 62 yesterday and Lliby and I waked for 4 miles...BUT it's snowing today....Go figure. Did get a lot of work outside done, cleaned all the dirt off the driveway, picked up old leaves and sticks from the snow storms thru the winter and finally got ALL the dog poop taken care of. Hubby figures we had about 70lb of that stuff....and considering Lliby's gone thru that much food since Oct it makes sense. Stay bundled up, keep the Vicks on and get better lady!
