Wow...

Tuesday, March 01, 2011

My last blog entry was a long time.

Well for a while I have been stuck at the same weight and literally gave up. I stopped trying. But I have done some reading and with the support, motication, and love of my wonderful Wife and got back on track.

I have been making sure that I meet my daily calorie goals (I had been eating below it) and I have been aiming to burn 312 calories 6 days out of the week. So with that I have lost 1.2 pounds since 2/17/11. This may not seem like much to you but its the best thing that has happened in a long time.

as long as the scale goes down, that's all that matters. It doesn't matter how long it takes us to get there, just as long as we get there.

Keep up the good job!

My New Goal

Thursday, August 05, 2010

emoticon

On 8/3/10 I made a promise to myself that I am going to work out everyday for a month. I am very excited about this. I will do a minimum of 20 minutes if I'm sick or something like that.

So I am now off to work out with a headache.

Drum roll........

Feeling Good!!!

Monday, July 05, 2010

I have no idea how to explain how I feel right now. The most simple thing to say is that I feel GOOD!!!!!!!

I am feel great about myself about life about evertyhing. I have been working out; not because I have to but because I want to. I am feeling alive. I know that I am going to reach my goal. I feel great, hopeful, and joyful.

Venting - 807 Calories

Tuesday, February 02, 2010

So I am very frustrated with myself. I find it very hard to eat all of my calories. Yesterday I made myself eat a burger and french fries hoping that I would meet my minimum amount of calories. However, I didn't. Today I have entered in everything that I have had today and I am only at 807 calories.

807!!!!!!!!

How am I suppose to eat 1000+ calories to reach my minimum.

I often tell people that not all fat people are fat because they eat alot. Some of us have a hard time eating. I think I may need to make an alarm telling me to eat every 3 hours or something.

I agree with AMACUBA. I was having the same problem not meeting my calories. So I keep lots of snacks at work...nuts, fiber plus bars, yogurt, fruits etc. And I've trained myself to constantly watch the clock on my computer. Every 2-3 hours I grab a snack.

Keep in mind that once in a while it's ok to not make your alotted amount of calories...you just don't want it to become consistant.

Eating too little, believe it or not, will make you gain weight. Sounds weird right? But it's because your body thinks there isn't enough food, so it stores as much as it can, as fat.

I would suggest that you do as you said about the alarm. Make sure you eat several smaller meals everyday...5-6 if you have time. 6 meals of 200 calories each (so quite small) will make you at 1200 calories, which is your minimum.

Don't think you have to eat massive amounts of food though.

1/2 cup hummus has about 100 calories, paired with say half a whole wheat pita to dip...that's about 180 calories right there.

1/2 chicken breast is also about 100 calories. Pair that with 1/2 cup cooked brown rice and some veggies... About 200 again.

14 almonds=140 calories.

1 glass of milk (2 cups) is 220 calories!

You get the picture. It's totally doable, without having to resort to eating a burger and fries!
