I did it! I made it 30 days!

Monday, June 20, 2011

So I did it! I actually worked out every day for 30 days. What did I learn? I learned that I can do it! I also learned that for me it is important to take it easy on some days. I am completely exhausted after these 30 days. Tomorrow I am only going to do my mile walk and call it a day. I really am excited that I made it a whole 30 days though!

I am going to try mixing up my routines and doing some other things now. My husband wants to buy an elliptical. I am excited for that!!

Yay for me!!!

Any motivational advice? - Days 26 &27

Saturday, June 18, 2011

I'm having a bit of hard time right now. I don't know why I fell so emotional, but I haven't been losing weight and it's REALLY frustrating me. I don't know my body and it kills me.

Yesterday I did the Biggest Loser Challenge for 50 minutes but I didn't put my all into it. Today I walked 3 miles in 51 minutes. I'm doing the work but my heart isn't in it.

The only thing that is getting me through is that I'm almost to my 30 day mark. I don't think I'll stop working out when I get to 30 days, but we'll see what happens.

If anyone has any motivational advice for when you hit a wall I would really appreciate it. How do I get through this?

Thank you!

Maybe you need a rest day. Sometimes it is easy to get so focused on working out that we forget our bodies also need rest time. Try taking a break for a day and see if the motivation comes back

Maybe you just need a change of pace. Literally.

It's a great metaphor for refreshing yourself by doing something a little different. Most people forget that it applied to exercise FIRST! LOL

Try some new scenery, a different route. Try a burst of speed for a minute here and there, picking up the pace and then dropping it back down. Try biking or hiking or dancing or some other fun activity instead of the walk.

Add some spice to your workout with some music-- or a workout buddy. My dog goes with me on occasion, but he likes a faster pace than I can handle even at the age of 15! LOL

All the answers you need are inside you, hunt them down. Think outside the box. I know emoticon

Days 20-25

Friday, June 17, 2011

Sorry about the lack of blog posts. I'm having a hard time staying motivated, but I am working out. Yesterday and today I walked for about 20 minutes but then instead of working out for a half hour to 40 minutes I'm only able to squeeze out another 20 minutes. Not sure what's wrong with me. But I am excited about reaching my 30 day mark!! I'm almost there!

Days 17, 18, and 19 - Turning Point

Saturday, June 11, 2011

So I started losing some of my motivation yesterday because the scale was not moving! It showed in my workout, it showed in my attitude. BUT I did the workout and I kept track of my calories and made the right choices. AND TODAY!!! The scale moved 1.5 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited!!! I hope that the number is the same if not lower when I wake up again tomorrow.

I feel like 176 laughs at me. Whenever I get to this weight it just stops going down. So this is a critical moment for me. I really need to stay focused so I can push my weight down. I'm not sure if it is self sabotage or not. But this time I really want it! This is a turning point for me. If I can make it past this, I think I can keep my weight going down.

For Days 17 and 18 I walked a mile and a half and did my Biggest Loser Challenge Wii game for a half and hour. Today I did the Biggest Loser Challenge Wii game for a half an hour and then I also did the Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout dvd for a half an hour.

I know that I said I would get rid of the scale, but it has been really hard for me. I decided to bring it back. We'll see what tomorrow brings!
