I ended up making all A's this semester...barely, but an A's an A, so I guess all the stress paid off in the end ^_^ Today was graduation. And...
The ceremony itself was pretty unorganized. A lot of people didn't get into the auditorium because it filled up (including my grandmother and my aunt), and I also didn't like how they did the ceremony itself...they let the speakers talk for way too long, and then didn't bother to announce which degree anyone actually got (or even make a differentiation between the people who got 2 year degrees and the ones who got certificates), they just had us go in alphebetical order across the stage and pick up a diploma cover that did not contain an actual degree or certificate (those actually come in the mail, and so instead they had stuck a notice inside telling us to make sure we paid any outstanding library fines or parking tickets :P). They didn't do any special recognition for Phi Theta Kappa members, although they did announce the names of the people who graduated with honors (which means you graduated with at least a 3.5 GPA) -- I was a bit upset when my name was not called even though I have a 3.89 GPA (I'm going to have to find out what the deal with that was later).
So I wasn't that thrilled with how all that went, but I do think I met the goal I made back in January to "look great at Graduation."
Not that that's a very good picture, or that you can tell how much weight I've lost with the black robe on anyway ^_^;; But still, I'm feeling pretty good about how I look now.
I didn't quite make it to my goal of losing 34 pounds by graduation, but that's okay, because...
Yesterday, my Wii Fit finally stopped whining about me being overweight. If anyone reading this happens to be familiar with the Wii Fit, you may know that when you weigh yourself during a body test and it determines that you are overweight, it will say in a very annoying little voice, "That's overweight." Yesterday, when I weighed myself...it played a little music, and told me, "That's normal." I was so excited! I had been waiting for that moment for so long now...and hopefully, now I won't ever have to hear a video game tell me I'm fat again!
More importantly, I guess I'm not technically overweight anymore ^_^ I'm 145.5 lbs, which according to the Wii Fit at least, is in the "normal" range.
So that mean's I've lost twenty seven and a half pounds now, and in the end I was only six and a half pounds away from the goal I set back in January. Not too shabby.
In other news, I went ahead and started ordering some stuff to make a "Cutie Honey" cosplay--I decided to just go ahead and get the pieces, and then decide if I'm going to try to wear it in June to A-Kon or wait until Anime Fest (which I think is in September).
I also signed up for a "tone and trim" class this summer, and a bellydancing class through community education. I'm looking forward to those, and getting back on track with my exercise routine again!

And I've decided that I really want to cosplay...CUTIE HONEY! :P
^_^;; Definately need to start sticking to my diet again for that one, you know? Lose another 25 lbs...
Oh man, body suits...scary stuff, people 0_0
Actually, I'm half tempted just to go for it now (I am feeling pretty confident lately...possibly overconfident), but I don't know...maybe there's a way I could make modifications to the costume so that it wouldn't be so horrible on me? The part I'm most worried about is actually my arms...I don't so much like having them and their pastey flabiness uncovered...I really should start using that Dove sunless tanning lotion again, that would probably help a lot ^_^;; Tan flab is a lot more attractive than bright white flab, if you ask me.
Well, on the other hand, there are a couple of good things that I'm thinking, anyway: at least (in this version of her costume) her mid section is covered, and at least I do have the boobs and the hour glass figure for it (which most really thin girls don't have - er, naturally, anyway).
I might have to make the bodysuit myself to make sure that it really works for me, and that there's enough support in the chest area (or maybe I could take an existing bodysuit and modify it?). I'd also be sure to be wearing high heel boots (high heels always help your figure ^_^).
Anyway, this is all because I just recently got into Cutie Honey ^_^ It's one of those things I was always kind of hesitant about renting ('cuz it looks kind of perverted, which it is). But about a year ago I got the live action movie from Big Lots for $3 (never really watched it until a couple days ago, though), and recently I've started renting the anime DVDs from Netflix....and I love it! It's like an increadibly inappropriate 1980s Saturday morning cartoon show...it's really campy, but the storyline isn't really as thin as you would suspect...I think it's just GREAT (I have weird tastes, I guess).

All the term projects are in, and I have just two more finals, one in game design and one in Excel. No big deal, it should be an easy week ^_^ I think I'm going to just barely swing an A in all my classes, as long as I make A's on my remaining finals.
Friday is graduation. I never did send out any invitations. I had declined to order any when the school bookstore would not print both the degree and the certificate I had earned on the invite. I had planned to either buy some online or make my own, but the ones online cost too much and I never did get around to going to Office Max to buy cards to print any on. I think what I might do at this point is send out some e-cards tomorrow, and then maybe just send out an announcement with a graduation photo in it later.
Anyway, it's not like this will be my last graduation. I'm actually going to be graduating with an A.A.S. in game design next year (don't know if I'll do the ceremony again for the same school, though), and then I'll probably go back to get my B.A. So chances are I'll have another chance to send out graduation announcements in a more timely manner ^_^;;
Now that the semester is going to be over, though, I have got to stop making excuses for not sticking with my healthy eatting and exercise program. No more " I've got to finish my classwork before I can even think about stopping to exercise," and no more resorting to junk food because I'm stressed or because my friends are eatting it. True, I haven't gained any weight in the past few weeks, but I haven't lost much at all either.
Sad to say, I'm not going to make it to my goal of losing 34 pounds by graduation. But I did lose 26 pounds, so I'm still pretty happy about it. Could I have done better? Definately. But I did pretty darn good. "Reach for the moon and you will land among the stars," you know (actually, I'm not sure, does that mean what I think it means or something different? It seems like I might have it backwards...aw, who cares, it's just some sappy quote that sounds like it belongs on those motivational posters that they put up in elementry school classrooms...which is probably where I got it from in the first place...).
Anyway, I think I've still reached my goal of "to look great at graduation." Not only have I lost 25 lbs, I've also gotten contacts, and I think I'm looking pretty good ^_^
I think my next goal is to "not be overweight by the time I go to my cousin's wedding in a couple weeks." Which should be totally attainable, since I only have to lose less than 3 lbs in order to fit into the "normal weight" catagory (at least according to my Wii Fit-yep, it will be nice to be able to weigh myself with that thing without hearing the words "That's overweight!") Longer term, though, I would still like to lose the rest of the original 34 lbs I set out to lose by A-kon, which is (I think) the first weekend of June. Which means I need to lose about 7 lbs this month...alright, I can do it!
BTW, the website I did for my beginning web design class was voted the best in the class, and my teacher told me it was the best project for that class that she had ever seen and that she was going to show it to the rest of the computer science faculty ^_^
I actually put a link to download my game design group project on the website I did for my webdesign class. It's a demo for an RPG, and I think it turned out really well--it's actually pretty fun, and I've even been playing with it a bit in my spare time ^_^ If anyone wants to download it, you can download it here:
Just remember we have very limited resources at our school, and it is a project from an intro class, so it's not the most technologically astounding game ^_^;; Let me know what you guys think if you do decide to try it out, though! (Also, I don't know how much longer it's going to get left up on the server, so make sure you download it soon, too, if you're going to.)

I already turned in one and I have two due tommorow. One is finished, the other is...not started ^_^;;
At least I have been wearing real clothes this week...at this point in the semsester, I have been known to start wearing pajama pants to school, so at least this year I've graduated to wearing a pair of too big jeans and too big t-shirts (although I do plan on dressing up for tommorow's presentation).
If anyone would like to take a look at the project I already turned in, check it out:
That's my beginning web design project, and I actually made it tie in with my game design term project (the one that's actually finished and that we're presenting tommorow).
The one I still need to do is for my Excel class...I hate Excel, so I've honestly been avoiding doing it. Oh well, I'll just throw something together...as long as I pass the class and never have to take it again, I'll be happy.
And of course, I still have finals...don't even want to think about that yet, but I guess I have to since they're very, very soon...

I guess that Wednesday is now my official "splurge day." It's just that Wednesday has now become the day I typically hang out with my friends, and my friends...eat a lot (my friends are mostly male, there are only three girls in the group including me ^_^;;). So it's hard not to eat with them. And really, I don't do TOO bad...comparatively. It's not like I'm matching the amount the guys are eating, at any rate. Today we went to CiCi's and I had a salad (w/ranch dressing), two pieces of pizza and a brownie. At an all you can eat buffet, it could have been worse. Of course, then we also went to Denny's later, and I had a "pancake puppy sundae" and a few of one of my friend's cheese fries. At least I drank two glasses of water with it? ^_^;; And at least the only other thing I ate all day was a 90 calorie granola bar....
And at least we're getting a little physical activity in, too, because what we're actually doing inbetween going to CiCi's and going to Denny's is going to the park and LARPing (LARP stands for live action role playing, if anyone's unfamiliar with the term). My friends are all in IFGS (a LARP group) and I haven't been to any official games yet, but I've just started playing unofficial "mini games" with them in the park here. Last week I was an NPC (non player-character), and this week I started developing a player character. I decided to be a Druid (which means I can talk to trees and animals and cast some spells). My name is Loomi, and I carry a teddybear as a shield (I decided to make my character kind of gothic lolita-ish ^_^). That's about as far as I've gotten as far as character development ^_^;;
Yeah, I know, LARPing is kind of dorky, but I've always had a lot of fun hanging out with the dorky kids. Don't knock it till you try it ^_^ And like I said, it's exercise too, sword fighting and stuff...
