250 Min in one week

Sunday, January 08, 2012

I am so excited! One of my spark streaks for this week was to walk every day. I have been walking about 20-25 minutes first thing thing the morning with a stretch after. I've also enjoyed a mid-day walk at work or with my hubby.

Tonight I got a trophy for 250 minutes after just one week! Can you imagine!! I am so excited. Just imagine how many fitness minutes I'll be giving my body each month. I feel joyful and proud at this moment.

3. I slept well last night, for the most part. I feel well rested today!

The meeting went spectacularly better than I expected, and I had a wonderful and honest conversation with my trainer. She's so encouraging!

Interesting Daily Spark story by Coach Nicole. Her closing remark really encapsulates the purpose of this site:

"This is what SparkPeople is all about: finding the eating and exercise strategies that work for you, and getting the motivation to stick with them. We give you the ideas, support and tips to get moving and eat better in a healthy way, but it's up to you to choose the strategies that appeal to you and put them into practice. No single diet or fitness plan works for everyone—but everyone CAN get results if they are willing to put in the work to make it happen."

How does this relate to me, and why is TheSpark helpful? I have the knowledge on fitness and nutrition, but now I am practicing starting small to be consistent in my on-going plan, not yo yo fitness.
