Daily Motivation Day 28

Sunday, February 24, 2013

Imagine that you're out to dinner and you order one of the healthiest options on the menu instead of your usual order. How does it make you feel to have made the healthier choice?

I often do. My issues is not as much what I eat, but rather how much!

Daily Motivation Day 27

Friday, February 22, 2013

Imagine holding the amount of weight you want to lose as dumbbells in your hands. Then, visualize yourself walking, dropping the weights little by little and eventually running--completely free of the added weights.

the weight isn't a burden to me, it's a frustration. It's not fitting into clothes, feeling embarrassed to be naked in front of my husband, but more than that, it's the activity level - having to reduce the weights in class because it's just too heavy, or not being able to do that last rep. There's fear of sudden pain in my back or knee - that's what holds me back.

daily Motivation Day 26

Thursday, February 21, 2013

visualize yourself completing a workout that you previously couldn't accomplish. How does it feel to know that you gave it your all--and actually finished it?

That's a 10km run/walk and I look forward to doing squats and lunges pain free again.

Where could motivation be waiting for you in your life? Where can you go to find it when you need it? Start to develop a daily routine where you actively seek out inspiring stories and events that make you feel like you can reach your goals.

I need to get back to my joy journal, but all these things: meal planning, looking for inspiration, working out - they take up SO MUCH TIME! How do you manage that and a family and a FT job?

Here's one for today:
Eat well. Move daily. Hydrate Often. Sleep lots. Love your body. Repeat for life :)

Daily Motivation Day 25

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Imagine going to bed later tonight and reflecting on the day, feeling totally satisfied with the choices you made. Isn't that a better feeling than regretting that you didn't do your best? What small steps can you make today to end the day with satisfaction?

What does not doing my best mean? I work hard, I plan my meals and pack a lunch and appropriate snacks. I guess it's not buying a snack at the cafeteria or having a large helping at dinner ... I don't know.

Not relating to this one at all: visualize that you have reached your goal weight. What will this feel like? Imagine shouting it from the rooftops to everyone you know.

I wouldn't do that. In fact, I doubt anyone but my sweetheart would notice. It's not reaching my weight but demonstrating my strength goals. If I could be comfortable in downward dog and not be out of breath after the 100 in Pilate's, now that would be satisfying!

i think being able to just do more physical activities without my ad flab in the way is a big modivator. as i have gotten more fit i want to so more intense moves but i cant because of the fat. that is my motivator. my health numbers are good so improving my health is not a goal i have at this moment. i just want to improve my stamina and energy level.
