Daily Coaching Motivation Day 10

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

Imagine that you are perfectly content with every aspect your life. What does that life look like?

Ha! First on my list is that these renovations are done - the house is finished (no exposed pipes, holes in walls, hideous paint colours or pink bathroom counters with gold fixtures). I'm financially stable to go on holiday. I am appreciated in my job and compensated for the hours worked. Isn't that interesting that these are the things that are top of mind. Money & Work (both the means).

Second to that is being strong through my shoulders/arms and legs - strong enough to do squats again and to do some of the yoga moves that require you to support your body weight through your hands.

What steps do you have to take to make that life a reality?
Reconsider my career. It will dictate my time allotted for evenings and financial resources.

I will live by yesterday's motivation: It doesn't get easier, I just get stronger. How? Through consistency and challenging myself.

Daily coaching Motivation, day 9

This one is tough: visualize yourself in your favorite place in the world. Reading in bed in the sunshine is what first comes to mind. It means that a) the sun is shining, b) I'm warm and cozy and c) I felt relaxed enough to take some time to read in the afternoon.

Breathe deeply and take in all the positive energy from that place to carry with you today. How can you use some of that good energy to help you reach your goals?

These questions are hard for me to answer. I'm not great at visualization, let alone transferring an image to a present situation. It just reminds me of how busy I always feel, which doesn't energize me at all.

Daily Coaching Motivation Day 8

Imagine yourself doing something at your goal weight that you can't do at your current weight. How does it make you feel to see yourself actually doing it without pain or discomfort?

I don't have any weight limiting activities. I have a reasonable wardrobe for this size and my husband loves me. It's entirely a personal goal: having muscle tone and feeling sexy, fitting into the "front room closet" clothes.

    Today's inspiration is so true:

You don't get what you want. You get what you work for.

This is what I need

Sunday, January 27, 2013

This was on today's Insider: www.sparkpeople.com/resource/nutriti
on_articles.asp?id=1778

Follow this principle with all unhealthy foods at work: Close the lid on that donut box, move the plate of bagels off the conference table and into the break room (where other co-workers will quickly gobble them up), and take an alternate route so you don't have to walk past the candy dish in reception.

My challenge is the candy dish on the administrator's desk, right outside my office. All week I have visualized the truffles as being citrus flavoured (because it's not my favourite) and that really helped ... until Friday. I was so nervous. I had not just one, but four. That's 200 calories for nothing.

but only one day. four days you didn't eat any. that makes 200 calories for the week extra.
