4. We have a healthy niece and nephew who just turned one
5. Jane for her peppermint oil/ shiatsu massage before our flight (you honestly held that migraine at bay for another few hours. Thank you!!!)

Stayed up to watch The Biggest Loser

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

I was totally amazed by their transformations - I didn't watch it from the beginning so I didn't know who Jerry was, Helen got down to 117lb and Mike looked fantastic!!!!

I think Kristin already had started to put weight back on since she left the ranch and once the attention on her fades, she'll put it gain a lot more!

It was a great finale - they all looked amazing. I actually thought Kristin looked great (and she had lost more weight at home), and I think that with her positive attitude (she was one of my favs!) she can make it a lifelong change. Just my opinion though... emoticon

Staying Motivated

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

The hardest part about staying motivated is eating out with friends - when I'm at home and doing my own cooking I feel in control of my choices. When I go out, I seem to loose sight of my accomplishments and my intent to have a tossed salad with grilled chicken becomes a burger & fries (because it's something I don't normally have and the temptation becomes overwhelming).

My goals has been to "swap" dinners (we each host dinner once a month) and test new healthy recipes on each other. Who ever is a guest brings wine & dessert. It's a great arrangement and has helped a lot!
