Good music makes everything feel a little better, don't you think?

Not quite sure about the rum. I would prefer my calories spent in a chocolate cream pie.

Another Great Workout Song - The Wiseguys(UK) - Ooh La La

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Makes you wanna get and do the twist or some other funky 50's or 60's type dancing. Very upbeat and fun! Since it's Tuesday again here's a personal motivator: The Streets - Turn The Page.

"If you persist in your will achieve... dream control"

Saturday, May 16, 2009

Line from "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche that just hit me while walking last night. If life isn't about the "pursuit of happyness" (ref to movie) and the slow yet persistant accomplishment of goals and dreams then you tell me why we're here? Oh yeah, glory be to God!

Setting a good example for children takes all the fun out of middle age.
William Feather (1908 - 1976)

Still, we should try every now again.

I had my kids young so by the time I am willing to admit I am middle aged I won't have kids at home. So It won't matter. Maybe kids make you feel young. This does give us a lot to think about.

Setting a good example is hard because I have to change all of my bad habits; which is actually good for me and my child. I think it is important that we teach our children good habits so that they don't grow up feeling miserable with themselves. You may feel that it takes the fun out of middle age but I think that it has improved my fun because I also have to show my child what it is to have a good time and not always be a downer; I get to be a kid again and that is great.

Please expound! I read this and I think, yes. Yes it sure does. One of my favorite quotes is from a refrigerator magnet and I have the picture in my gallery - "Old enough to know better, too young to give a rat's ass." But when you're middle aged, you have to start to give a rat's ass, even if it's just for the kids' sake.

Whatever. It still sucks. How much fun can I have before I go to hell?
