Hey guys!

I just wanted to write a quick blog. I weighed myself yesterday and decided that that will be the last time I weighed myself for the next month. Hope to lose at least 5 pounds between now and I think that is a reasonable goal.

Work has been very busy recently. And, I guess it has been stressful too. So I'm doing my best to stay active and stay in a good mood.

Still going strong with the daily workouts!

    I like what you said about staying active and staying in a good mood... exercise has made a huge difference for me lately in avoiding the winter blues and holiday stress. Keep up the good work!

Daily in December

I like to make challenges... and then blog about them. And sometimes I forget to keep blogging about them. Then I like to start again. LOL


My December challenge is to exercise DAILY AND (+/-) blog about it! I am proud that I exercised this morning. I used to love love love morning exercise... but then I started having a lot of trouble waking up early because I work so late... and need my sleep! Last night I went to bed early-ish and got up at 6 something to go running. I am proud!

Dec 1 = My rest day, went out and danced (for fun) with the girls
Dec 2 = Danced and burned ~900 calories! :-D I LOVE to dance!
Dec 3 = Spin bike + treadmill for ~30 mins
Dec 4 = TODAY [ Woke up an ran 20 mins on the treadmil at 6 am.]

  I've actually met and exceeded my goal of getting under 150 lbs. Now, to get to145 and I'm not blowing it by celebrating with food. I love how I look and feel. Dancing, you go,girl! Do YOU! My schedule is Zumba,Mon-Wed-Fri, emoticon Insanity,Tues, C.O.R.E.Thurs and Sat, emoticon Sunday is my day of rest! emoticon emoticon

Week 6: Planning/goals + SO HORMONAL!

Hey everyone,

We are now in the final weeks of the year and I am making some goals and plans on how I would like to finish off this year.

I am making several non-weight goals so that I can have something (that I can control) to aim for just in case the scale decides not to participate in my plans :-D So basically, these will be the things that I would be satisfied with EVEN IF I never reached my ultimate weight goal of 120.

My Happy/Acceptable weight goal is 130
My satisfied weight goal is to maintain my weight no higher than 140 pounds. (Depending on how good I look in a bikini at this weight AND I will have little room for gain. So I'll be happy here, but I will have to stay diligent to maintain it)

Also I am preparing to make a shopping list for the week so I can make sure I pack my lunch and eat meals from home. I think this will help control my calories and I want to reach my goals in the next 6 weeks.

Non-Scale Goals:
ULTIMATE goal = To wear a size 6/8 in pants. 8/10 in skirts.
To be comfortable wearing a bikini on the beach with no cover and not feel self-conscious
Goal Measurements: 34-27-38 [This is subject to change... I have big hips and don't know what a feasible goal would be] These were my old measurements once upon a time. I'm not going to be too strict with this. I want to feel comfortable in my body and feel healthy... I'm not super attached to the measurements

To be able to run 5 miles in less than 50 mins (again- When I ran my last marathon I was able to run pretty fast)
To complete the insanity series
To feel sculpted.. Not rock solid but not too mushy and NO (excess) back fat.

Oh and here is some follow up:

I do infact have a hormonal issue that is making it difficult for me to lose weight! Aha! I told you guys I was actually working out hard LOL I'm following up with my endocrinologist on Thursday soooooo hopefully I can do whatever needs to be done so I can get back to a healthy weight. In the meanwhile, I will be tightening up my diet... My body can't store excess calories if I don't provide them but it will be nice to get back to a hormonal balance so my HARD WORK pays off!

    Great goals! It's important to take a break from focusing on the numbers (i.e. the scale!) all the time.. and measure your progress by other means. We share some similar goals... I want to ultimately get down to 115lbs, but I'm hoping to reach 120 before this NYE! I'm in the middle of Insanity right now, DAY 20 tomorrow! Man, it is tough, but SO worth it.. I'm surprised by all the definition happening in my arms and legs, considering all the strength-training involved uses only your own body weight, no equipment necessary! Love it! Good luck, you can do it!!

    Few weeks left for 2012 and I feel going downhill fast! So my goals to end this year withbig bang boom are to climb up from hills of frustrations and to lose at least 1 kg!

    I too am sizing up my 2013 goals.. I have so many things happening I will doubly relying on Spark & probably WW too...just get myself motivated for life.

    Those hormones can be tricky! I have low thyroid, so even though I take the pills to correct it, I know the doctor medicate so I get to the low end of normal, so I will probably never be completely average. I have gotten used to it. I have lost weight and am now maintaining. I didn't lose all the way to the weight for average people, but the last time I got to that weight and entered a hospital, the dietitian was desperately trying to get me to gain weight. So I figure I am good where I am!
