So I've been sick all week... and my appetite has been down. Today I had a boiled egg and 2 oz of turkey sausage for breakfast and soup for lunch. Then I thought, oh... I'll get this brownie sundae... because I want it and I think it'll be yummy. And you know what, it was DELICIOUS. After I ate it, I decided to add it to my food diary. I'm trying to stay honest. Do you know that brownie had 1290 CALORIES!!!!!!!!!!!???!!!!?????
WHAT IN THE WORLD~?
It was delicious but it was NOT worth THAT many calories.
But no regrets. I chose to eat it and I enjoyed it. But I did think twice about the next time I randomly decide to treat myself. I thought, man... this must be why they say to PLAN YOUR MEALS before you eat. If I had known it was 1290 cals I would not have consciously chosen to eat it. If I did choose to eat it, I would have eaten only a part (but really... is the 1/2 of a brownie worth 600 cals? Probably not. So next time, I'll just make it from scratch).
And the better news,
Because I logged my food, I was AWARE of the fact that I just consumed a day's worth of cals in ONE dessert and I was able to WORK IT OFF!
Burned 1150 calories during my 2 hour workout and felt amazing afterward. I think my cold is getting better AND I don't have any guilt about the brownie.
