Marching to a different beat!

I haven't blogged much but I am STILL going hard in the gym, on the streets, and on my yoga mat! LOL

I am still on my 100 day streak and going strong. I did insanity fit test yesterday and ran and did PART of the insanity video today... Burned 852 cals.

I also decided to re-create the infamous Summer 2007 weight loss attempt and so now I am eating every 3 hours. I was totally satisfied ALL day AND my body got hungry on schedule. ;-) So yay! Time to break this plateau and make the scale MOVE in the next 6 weeks.

I have some plans ;-)

Oh and I drank more than 64 oz of water!

Journaling in January!

Hey everyone! Just stopped by to check in. emoticon

I have continued to keep a food diary so I consider that a success. emoticon
I am going to work on making sure I write EVERY THING down.... AND I'm adding a new part to this goal. NOW, I am aiming to stick to my calorie goals 5/7 days a week.

I know what you are thinking... that should be the first step in any attempt to lose weight but I think you have to get in the habit of RECORDING WHAT YOU EAT before you can try to change or limit what you eat.

So 1 habit down ;) 11 to go! [ I may try to squeeze in a bonus habit every few months or so ;)]

I was seriously thinking... I want to reach my weight loss goals within the first 1/2 of 2012 and maintain the second half. I don't want to spend the whole year chasing after something that could be done in a shorter period of time. I'm leading a pretty healthy lifestyle, I just need to tighten up a bit in the calorie department so I can reach my goals sooner!


Oh and I burned 950+ calories today at the gym! And I might squeeze in some yoga later before work.

    Ha! I've been at this for years... I definitely not rushing but um... I don't think something that can take 5 months should take 5 years! :-)

I will take it slowly, not planning on starving myself :)

    TOTALLY agree with NELLIEC... don't RUSH the weight loss... becuase the longer it takes to lose it, the longer it's likely to stay GONE!

Beautiful Bombshell: Journaling in January!

Day 4 and so far so good! I have been tracking and keeping an actual food jounal that is pretty and makes me happy! I'm adding inspirational quotes and little tips I pick up along the way. My team GMIH has decided that we will change one thing each month. My one thing this month is tracking and i feel that this will be the most helpful FIRST habit of 2012. :) By the end of the year I will have 12 new habits for 2012! Yay!

Beautiful Bombshell: Jump into January: Day 2: Let's get it started!

Day 1 was amazing and so was Day 2 :)

So, 2012 is here... and so are WE! Yesterday was a good day for me. I spent New Years day with a new Beau walking around Biltmore estates which is AMAZING by the way! It was more of an active date because we did a lot of walking, but I didn't mind because... I like to squeeze in exercise when I can!

So, I'm counting it! Day 1: Full of activity, lots of walking
Day 2: Lots of cleaning and taking time to purge some old clothes and make room for my new ones. OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW!



I will sit down tomorrow to put my resolutions on paper (in multiple places) so I can keep them within sight! Put here is a preview,

1. Cook more meals at home. I am a good cook and I enjoy it when I am prepared (with the proper foods and time). Cooking will save me A LOT of money because I spend most of my money at fast food restaurants and it will save me CALORIES lol. So 5 days of the week, I need to eat at home!

2. Continue exercising. I already exercise 6 days a week, and I enjoy it. So I want to keep this up. I'm going to add strength training and make sure to do more yoga this year!

3. Read a book FOR FUN each month. So that's 12 books this year. love reading, but find that I don't do it as much as I'd like because I'm so busy.

4. Take a bath, meditate, pray, and journal often! Of course I bathe daily... I just mean, I want to CONSCIOUSLY make an effort to de-stress and relax so that I don't get short-tempered and angry when I am having a hard week. I LOVE my bath tub... I put candles up, put on relaxing music, it is amazing! So, why should I just wait to go to the spa or set a date for a massage somewhere in the distant future if I can treat myself regularly!?

5. Get back to running. I used to love it. I still enjoy it, but I have gotten out of the habit... So, this year, I want to set monthly running goals and then work towards achieving them. This means, I need to get new running shoes and update my Nike+ kit so I can get used to tracking each and every mile... a habit I kind of got out of as well



K, back to folding these clothes. I may still squeeze in a workout before bed. I'm ON VACAY this week. Don't have any definite plans but I will use this week to rejuvenate and continue to jumpstart my mission to MAKE THIS THE BEST YEAR YET!
