Happy Valentine's Day!

This is just a short before work blog... Happy Valentine's day to everyone! Those who have someone to love and those who are practicing SELF-LOVE (and really both groups should make an effort to show SELF love on a DAILY basis) I hope you have an amazing day filled with many miracles of love!

I started my Valentine's day celebration yesterday! I am single again for the first time in a long time, after an engagement, etc... So, I decided that I still want to be excited about Valentine's day and my happiness depends on me! I don't have to sulk around feeling lonely allllllll day. Sometimes you can celebrate the fact that you have EXPERIENCED love before! So yesterday, I decided to treat myself to a movie , "Just Go with it" It was such a cute goofy movie! I really enjoyed it!

My plans for today include, making myself a delicious dinner (Gonna try a new recipe) and I'll post a pic later! :-D I'm also going to paint my toes and re-paint my nails and maybe squeeze in a TV love movie just for kicks... depending on when I get off of school/work! :-D

Little Lessons: 2

Hey everyone!

I've missed writing you all, but life has left me a little busy. Not to busy to stay on track, but too busy to write long posts... so this one will be quick too.

My little lesson for the day is this, SMALL ADJUSTMENTS EQUAL BIG RESULTS!

Here's the story:

I had all the right intentions. Go to bed early, wake up workout, carry my lean cuisine to school, eat 1/2 a bagel with peanut butter for breakfast, and have a great day.

Then, life happened.

I went to bed later than I wanted. Well, I went to bed on time but took a long time to fall asleep. Which resulted in me snoozing one too many times. BUT, and this but is important, I made a few small adjustments and I'm glad to say I still consider this day a success!

* I didn't wake up in time for my FULL workout, but I did have enough time to do 15 mins and work up a pretty good sweat.
* I bought breakfast at the cafeteria because I ran out of the house without making my planned breakfast - but tried to eat healthy. apples, sausage, eggs. Did the best I could and recorded my food
* Lunch was chick fil a... and I got the FRIED version. BUT I did not get a drink [ so that saved me a few calories] just a small cup of water!
* Because I knew I had a big lunch, I decided to let that be my MAIN meal and eat light for dinner.
*I ate a handful of craisins and 100 cal popcorn for a snack and grilled chicken ~ 3.5 oz and string beans for dinner. and get this... I even had DESSERT! It was frozen fruit with splenda sprinkled on top... but it was Delish AND I have no guilt! best of both worlds!

So, NOT a perfect day, but NOT bad considering how it could have gone! And that leads me to the conclusion that small adjustments lead to big results!

On a side note: Despite traveling for 9 days straight with little sleep and little access to healthy foods, I not only maintained but LOST a pound. I am really proud guys. This time feels different, because, well.... it IS different. In case you are wondering why it's different, the answer is simple.

I FINALLY BELIEVE it is possible.

Therefore, it is.

    Wow. This is neat. It makes sens too. I'm very impressed.. you do actually work out in the morning. That is wonderful. I tried, unsuccesfully for a whole week.. Couldn't bring myself to do something.. felt too exhausting!

Anyway.. you believe it's possible.. than it is. That is just perfect. Continue to inform us, I found out it was the best way to keep me going.. it might just work for you!

I will write more later or tomorrow. Today was a rough day for me. Not food wise... and not exercise wise either. I just have been feeling sick and isolated (because I don't want to get others sick. ) :) The "Doctor-ly" thing to do I guess... instead of spreading germs. PLUS it's COLD out there! LOL

Anyway, the day has a pleasant ending and I re-discovered my love of dancing and burned 580+ cals dancing to music in my living room and making up routines. I never feel more alive than when I'm moving and actually using my creativity.

So I am going to do it more.

and that's what the next blog will be about. Time for some introspection. I have some things to work out in my personal life... but I guess that is why the joy is in the journey and not the destination. Always something new to learn.

I did just this today.
I was in my range and then I went and ate half a muffin and I am sure it took me 250 calories over.
Oh well tommorrow is another day.

Schedule your meals ahead of time: Follow the plan

Today i am following my eating plan! :-) YAY! I created it last night before bed and decided I would follow it very closely! I allowed extra snack in case I get extra hungry and I will likely add in more fruits and veggies at my meals.

B: Turkey bacon 3 slices
oatmeal 1tbsp brown sugar
coffee + 1 tbsp sugar and splenda
egg white with cheese
----------------------> Breakfast eaten at 11:30 am (slept in :-) Cause I'm sick!) yum!
S: Banana
boiled egg
craisins

L: Grilled chicken + hot sauce (making buffalo strips)
salad

S: Soup?
apple
lean cuisine - if SUPER hungry
100 cal popcorn - if SUPER hungry

D: crab cake (i made it last night)
2 oz shrimp

    Sounds like being greedy but its to stave off hunger from unpreparedness. I am thinking of what I can bring tomorrow even though I am FILLED to the brim with good food!

So tomorrow its a toss up between oatmeal w/toast or a scrambled egg w/toast for breakfast. Lunch, will be chili w/real fruit juice, blueberry yogurt for snack & grilled chicken breast a nice salad & a baked potato. Evening snack half of pb&j w/2%milk. YUMMY!! Perfecto!!
