Oh my aching legs!!... (in a good way)

Holy cow! I just "played" on my Wii for about 40 minutes Wednesday night. a couple of balance exercises, some yoga, silly games, faked a bit of slalom skiing.

And then I had to do my job yesterday. I laser measure golf courses. In the cart, out of the cart, walk to the center of the fairway and back, for about 7 hours. (No carts in fairways with all the rain, so alot of back and forth, and slogging through the mud). Probably ended up with 27 holes worth of golf exercise. emoticon

I can barely walk today... somehow I gotta get the legs moving. I have to go out dancing tonight! Whatever I do, can't stop now!!

Just keep swimming... just keep swimming...

    Switching from bartending, on my feet all day for sometimes 12 + hours, to an office job, sitting on my... chair, all day, has totally changed my strength level.

The few days I do get out on the course, I feel it. Just another motivation for exercising more.

Rats! High Cholesterol...

So I decided to do the right thing and go to my Dr. for a check-up before starting with SP. The good news, is diabetes (history in family) is not an issue. The bad news is cholesterol is. I'm high both in good and bad.

I'm just getting started with SP and am in Fast Break stage. I am trying to look at the bright side, it will be easier now to avoid my pitfall foods. They are all high chol. foods. bacon, processed foods, and the like. I have family history of high blood pressure (mine is low), and strokes. So I am going to take this to heart (pun intended) and get serious about SP, Exercise, diet, water. In with the good stuff, out with the bad!!

We'll see what SP does to my numbers in 3 months when I go back to get the levels checked again. Hopefully *fingers crossed* everything will be back where it's supposed to be!

If I knew sooner that working out could be so much fun! Yes, I know it's supposed to be *serious*... BAH to that! I need to be entertained. Going to the gym with all the fit-freaks never did me any good. When you feel so uncomfortable that you don't want to go, it's not going to work.

It's sure not that I'm hiding. I LOVE to go out dancing. In clubs. Where the young, fit, pretty people are. The key is to take the old saying to heart~ "Dance like no one is watching".

Which reminds me... I have to check out the schedule for this great club that plays 80's music with the original videos....

60 pounds seems un-surmountable. 30 pounds by my 25th High School reunionin August seems im-possible.

One pound a week... I can do that! 3,500 calories... That's 500 calories per day. 125 calories per meal!!

And then, if start exercising... even more benefit.

Basic strategy = "Get off my a$$ and get my a$$ off!!"

I CAN do this!!
