If you follow my blog, you know that for the last 2 1/2 months I have been plateaued in my weight loss. I have been floating between 228 and 232 lbs. This yo-yo plateau has frustrated me beyond belief. Finally, I decided to accept it and just continue what I am doing knowing that the results would come eventually.
I wasn't anticipating a loss when I stepped on the scale this morning. This week has been crazy. Work has been really intense, and I worked a few late nights that left little time for sleep. It also cut into my gym time, which does not make me happy. I'm slowly working on the balance of doing what I have to do and also doing what's right for me. I was much better this week, but still have room for improvement when it comes to consistency and making time for myself.
I was surprised when the scale popped back "227.0" at me this morning. I have been trying to hit this number for a couple of months now, since it officially marks "30 lbs lost". It also coincides with the 1 year anniversary since I renewed my vow to get in shape and get back to 180 a year ago. To see that number reading back at me has motivated me beyond belief and reassured me that I am doing the right things. Now, I need to focus this motivation into momentum and keep the journey going to continued self improvement.
Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me on my journey thus far. Here's to the next 5, 10, 20, 30 lbs and beyond.
