I am loving the 1000 Action Steps challenge! I have to tell you, it has motivated me to get up and get something done. While I didn't EXACTLY follow the list I put together this morning, I did okay and made a modification. I wasn't really thinking through the day correctly this morning and with my husband's Marine Corp buddy and his wife arriving later today I needed to make cleaning a priority... so walking took a walk! I did do 20 minutes on the elliptical this morning and I certainly have been keeping myself busy with chores... so it was a wash in the end.
Action Steps for today.
5) Continue with declutter project and list a few items on eBay - Done!
6) Read page 2 in Strength Training Book - Done! This page was on concentration curls. I will try this exercise in the morning as I have strength training scheduled for tomorrow morning. Interestingly enough, on the Today Show this morning they had a segment on Michele Obama and her program and how she keeps her arms buff. She does curls for 1 minute at a weight high enough that her muscle is fatigued by the end of 60 seconds.
7) Walk - I switched this action step to cleaning house / office. Unfortunately no time for a walk but I checked my pedometer and I'm already at 9950 steps so I think this counts.
8) Get packages ready for Post Office - Done and mailed!
9) Mow the lawn - Done!
I'm feeling like I'm ready for Paul and Peggy to arrive and looking forward to meeting them. We plan to have dinner out tonight which will be fun. One of Paul's friends gave him $200 yesterday as he was getting ready to head to the airport. His friend thanked him and my husband (who his friend doesn't even know!)for their service to our Country in VietNam and wanted to buy dinner for us all. Isn't that just unbelievably kind and thoughtful? We have just the restaurant in mind but $200 will be more than enough to buy dinner twice!
More action steps planned for tomorrow. Cheers!
