MOVE IT! MOVE IT!

One of my goals is to reach my goal weight this year. I'll be 50. So

I have vamped up my strength training. I want to increased my time performing them, increased reps and sets. ONE DAY AT A TIME... Yep I know I back off from them this week LOL but I have planned them. I was a little low on energy so I did do some mini strengthening. This way I can still be consistent with them. Just not at as intense. For the cardio I have to play that by ear some what. Asthma is serious! but I do not use that as an excuse. Dr says exercise helps with lung problems. I already do at least 30 min and some good days 45. It is my goal to work up to 45 minutes but that will depend on the type or cardio I do. For example 45 min of aerobics will have to be worked up to. But 20 min biking, 20 aerobics and 10 pilates will work. I am working it my way...

yes, me2. i'm working on increasing stamina/breathing as able, and strength. last year i moved from 1 to 2 then 3 pound weights. this year i hope to move to 4 lb maybe even 5 pound weights! Someday I would like to be able to workout in a gym like Curves. We'll see :) Report Inappropriate Comment

I am good at planning but bad at sticking to my plan! LOL My workout has been postponed this week because of my cold. I did try on Wednesday to workout and I paid for it! But I really want to do more strength and core workouts. Having trouble with the right shoulder, so I want to try to build that up. And my cardio needs to be increased too. I have been walking a hour a day, until it got to cold to walk. So I guess i will be doing the treadmill for while. I love your attitude my friend! You keep me going! With all the promises I can not say it has not crossed my mind. But the phen phen pill causing heart problems and other pills causing problems I have not used them. The promises sound so convincing. Some tv weight loss ads come on tv and promise you'll lose even without exercising. What a joke!! What about those with other issues for eating?? Like emotional eating they do not consider that. It goes beyond what you put in your mouth. The issue may be what is eating you? not what you are eating. They go hand in hand. I become angry at the lies these ads promise. So many buy into the lies and they make tons of money from empty promises. I say be aware. We want things to happen right now! But it takes hard work and determination etc. I will lose the old fashioned way. Eating less, Exercising and work on the Emotional eating part too along with planning my meals etc. Thanks to spark and well supporting friends I know better.

It is very true. The thought crosses my mind all the time about weight loss supplements. I have taken some before in the past and lost weight but I stopped when I tried Hydroxycut. That stuff cut me up and I ended up in the hospital. I was sitting down but my heart was outside running a race. That has been years ago. After that I worked hard to lose weight but a few months ago I slowed down on what I was doing and started gaining some of it back. Order or Chaos: How do YOU cope best?

For order I am happy and doing a praise dance. Thanking my savior for peace inside my heart and a less stressful day. Since we live in a chaotic world...that leads me to prayer. Chaos is not pleasant lets face it. In difficult times I always pray. In good times (order) I always pray. When Mr. EE is chasing me I have learned to pray more. In my weakest times when I am over from come Mr. EE bone crushing attacks I reflect and remind myself this too shall pass. I praise cause I am told to. As a woman of faith. I am at peace. This too (chaos)shall pass.

In the natural I know as man/or speaketh so is she/he. Thought life matters. I am choosing to be at peace regardless of my situation. Gods got it! My faith plays major role in my life.

This happened a few years ago. My hubbie caught a spider and ran me with it. (Yep I am not fond of little creatures) I fell on my knee and skinned them. I locked myself in the bathroom knees bleeding. Even though I was bleeding I would not open the door..he told me he threw it away. I told him if he threw that thing on me I would knock him out((not really do it)) but I was scare. I opened the bathroom door. He pick me up and placed band-aids on my knees and of courses gave me some kisses. He has not ran me with any more spiders or any other creepy little creatures again, When I thought back I laughed but at the time it was not funny.

I know of something else gross but I will not go there. LOL!

LOL My grandson comes upstairs to my apt to take a shower because he saw a spider in his shower! This happened about 4 months ago and he still comes here to shower. Or he will wash up at the sink. My Older son is the same way when it comes to spiders. So he calls my younger son who is 8 years younger to come and get them and put them outside. So a 16 year old runs away from them screaming and call his 8 year old brother to come and get spiders. LOL. Report Inappropriate Comment

Does eating healthy cost more? IN MY VIEW!!!

It does cost more to eat healthy. That depends if your kids are still at home or not. Mine are. So it does cost more. those 3 boys can eat the bark off the trees. Yes it will pay off in the end to right with better health. Meats, Veggies, fruits and bread are costly. Please do not mention anything organic!! Does it pay off to eat healthier. YES. we survive buy buying some off brand canned foods, buy in bulk WHEN WE CAN, try and catch sales for frozen veggies and fruits and going to our local discounts stores. My son found a food dehydrater brand new. I've already mentioned that my hubbie promised to till the ground for a garden. I am gonna hold him to it. If he does not do it I will. Fresh veggies taste so much better fresh from the garden. Just saw on the news where Florida veggies and fruits have some frost damage. I know what that means at the groceries stores.

You're so right-it does cost more. I usually buy frozen(tastes better than canned, in my opinion)that way I can use I need and the rest keeps forever. My daughter is 8 and she goes through through these spurts-for a couple days she'll eat EVERYTHING(including the bark off trees-I liked that one, by the way )and then she has days where she won't eat much of ANYTHING! A few years ago we had a garden. We grew everything and it was wonderful! LOTS of work, tho-weeding and spacing, etc. A tip-don't plant watermelon & cukes too close to each other. The roots wind around each other and some of our cukes had a vague watermelon flavor. That's when our nursery person told us that hint. They should be at least 2 rows away from each other.
