I DO NOT MAKE NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS!!! BUT GOALS...I HAVE THEM!

1. PERSONAL TIME emoticon WHO DOES NOT NEED SOME TIME FOR THEMSELVES. A HOLIDAY SEASON CAN BE OVER DONE WITH GUESS DROPPING BY. I WILL TAKE SOME TIME OUT FOR ME TO HAVE A BREATHER emoticon My hair journey is taking longer than I like. Permed hair is so different than natural. Many ladies do a BIG CHOP (that is cut their hair short) but I do not want to do that. My natural is growing beautifully. I am wearing a puff right now until my natural hair grows out more. My permed hair will not twist. I am also braiding my hair.

2. DEVOTIONAL emoticon need to take life my cares to God more and study his word daily.

3. AT LEAST 3 VEGGIES AND 2 FRUITS 2 emoticon I admit that I like fruits more than veggies. I am eating more of the veggies. But I need to try a new veggie or fruit and I will when able.

4. VITAMINS emoticon I sometimes get busy and forget to take them..Find a way as a reminder to take them along with cal chew.

5. EXERCISE DAILY- My exercise routine is going well before I said no rest day. But I need one to plan for the next day. I HAVE UPPED MY STRENGTH TIME TO 3 OR 4 DAYS A WEEK.

6. ADDRESS Emotional eating daily...I must admit I do not blog much. Some thoughts are too private to list here...but I could journal in my personal journal book. I have just ordered 100 days of weight loss. NO I now it is not a quick fix. This will take determination and hard work. With my faith In God I will make it by his grace. Faith without works is dead and I will do things in the natural as I walk my faith walk. I WILL NOT WIG OUT IF I CANT EXERCISING AS HARD AS I WOULD LIKE. I WILL NOT WIG OUT IF I SLIP AND EAT SOMETHING UNPLANNED. I WILL WORK WHAT I HAVE ATE IN MY PLAN, AND IF THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE I WILL PLAN MY NEXT MEAL ON TARGET!! I WILL RETOOL AND LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE. This will be my daily goals. Even though I am not doing the Beck solution anymore ((did not work for me)) can not read cards every time I eat.. but to those who it worked for more power to you. A few things stayed in my mind like 10 mins of exercise is better than 0 minutes. If you ignore the voices that tell you to eat extra they will be heard less, and will come to you less. I thought she was crazy for saying that but it is true. She says that if you practice that technique your resistance muscle will grow. Until then I will waiting on my NEW book. I find for me if I do not challenge self in some way I will not go forward.

7. IN BED BY 11!! WHO ME?? YEP I AM DOING IT MOST DAYS.

8. WHOLE WHEAT DOING IT..IN THE PAST I SAID THAT I WOULD NOT EAT WIERD WHOLE GRAINS LIKE MILLET AND BULGAR. BUT AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT THE WHOLE THING ABOUT A CHALLENGE IS TO DO THE THINGS YOU HAVE NOT DONE BEFORE. WELL I'LL GIVE THEM A TRY BUT.. I PUT THE BREAKS ON EZEKIEL BREAD. I'VE TRIED IT AND THE TEXTURE MAKES ME WANT TO CALL EARL..PU YUCK0!

    Great goals! I follow some of these, but I need to follow more. (In bed by 11! Hard of a night owl!)

Not having issue with the hair. Chopped it off! LOL

    I believe that the Lord will help you in your goals you have set before you (for without a vision people perish). Even though it's not always easy and the greatest vision God gives us is spiritual, He will be our high tower that will enable us to climb over every obstacle along the way. Fruits and Veggies doing pretty good. emoticon I just was able to buy fresh fruit and veggies. This challenge was good for me. I was sort of forced to get them in. Yep being honest here. The old me creeps in every now and then. My flesh does not want to do right. But greater is he that is within me than he who is in the world. Father I give my ugly voices to you.. knowing that you can crush them under my feet! This will be ongoing.

devotional done/ongoing!. God is so good and yep I need to spend more time with him.

personal time OPPSS!
I have got to really to keep working on this-- since I deal with stress daily. I really miss my time spent on my patio this late summer..the mid summer it was too hot and I could not sit there. I do not like cold weather so going outside and sitting is out!!!! I may just develop some time at the able sipping on green tea/reading devotional. I may try other teas also. But I hate coffee and I will not touch it ((YUCKY)). emoticon.

Beauty/pamper this goal is ongoing. My natural hair journey is going very well. My hair is growing. I have brought some hair products. I am still transitioning from a perm..so I have mixed textures of hair for the moment. No!! I will not cut if. Just trimming the ends every now and then. I get a lot of inspiration from you-tube those ladies their mean business and I am learning how to care for it. Yes I know that each persons hair is different..So I will try things and see what works for me. Just as losing and getting healthier is a journey. Nothing is learned over night. My pedicure did not go so good. I do like the color I used and I will take off today and redo them this weekend.

Vitamins/cal chews .HUMMMMM I always forget to take my cal chew.

Taking in some whole wheat done, done done, an done on going!!what can I say?? I am learning what I can tolerate and what I can not. Whole pasta, whole bread/pitas, Orzo, Wraps, oatmeal, flax seed, bran cereal, whole wheat couscous along with brown rice are Yes (s). But anything else would be weird TO ME.I know my limits for now. Here are some no(s) bulgur wheat, ezekiel bread, millet, and other odd grains. Not being negative just speaking how I feel about odd grains.

In bed by 11:00 not! fighting the night owl in me!!! A work in progress I am!!

exercise yep! done/ongoing! Yesterday I did 45 min of aerobics 3 miles. WATP.

Note last week one of my boys got sick which in turn helped me get off track so I am crawling back on the wagon. I am putting one foot in front of the other. No stopping now!!

    It all sounds great except for your son being sick. I have not taken that road to natural hair. But I'm constantly interested in products that make my un-natural hair healthier. Lately I've been liking Redkin. With increased exercise I have been rinsing if not washing my hair after workouts and using a leave-in conditioner and letting it air dry. Then Just flat iron. I might be ready for a change after my daughter's wedding. I'm on the natural hair thing again. It has gotten so long and I wish it were all natural and not relaxed.

Just had to come and tell The Lord thank you for my ups and downs...he is carrying me thur each one. I am have the victory..It is nothing like listening to praise music. I am enjoying DONNIE MCCLURKIN PSALMS, HYMNS, AND SPIRITUAL SONGS. GLORY HIS PRESENCE FELL DOWN. This is the day the Lord has made and I shall be glad. His mercy endures forever unto all generations.

I usually say I struggle with the winter months especially when the sun does not shine. (It is raining today) Instead I will think of Gods goodness and and listen to some good ole praise songs. If that don't get your feet moving. WHEW!

    What a wonderfully inspiring blog. How refreshing it is to see someone openly praising God. It seems in today's world we rarely hear about God anymore.

Sometimes the Winter months can be hard to deal with but we should praise God for them b/c it's like he gives the world a rest after all of the bright and vivid colors of Summer and Fall. Anyway thank you again for your blog.

I have got to keep working...the boob tube called me. Hopefully I will overcome this with my faith. I can do all things thur Christ who is my strength.

Beauty/pamper this goal WILL BE DONE this week end. It consists of facials and pedicures etc. A time to care for this Temple that God has gave me. I would say that I wish I had cared for it more but that is looking back. I am a new creature and I will say and be so.

In bed by 11:00 no again! Still working.....

Over come emotional eating. Hmmm working still....the face is not given to the those who are strong but to those do endure. This is a journey especially in this area.

fruits and veggies emoticon I could always improve but I will not dis-credit myself for attempting to do better, Oh yea I have been using fiber one bars for snack but when I went tie discount store they were all gone so I got a substitute but is is not the same. UGH!

I have got to really to keep working on this-- since I deal with stress daily. One of my sons bus comes 6:35 which means I have to get up at 5:30 Whew I need to get in bed by 10:00 almost impossible. But I have got to work on it.

    It's rough sticking to any kind of routine when kids are involved. Make a plan and do the best you can. You are doing great. Also, try and take one goal at a time. Don't try them all or it may be too difficult. Good luck!
