Time to get my act together

Monday, July 11, 2011

Ok....vacation was awesome! I forgot how much I LOVE Texas!!!! i tired for about a day to be good (at least I am honest) and then said the hell with it. I was on vacation after all. Last week was my first week back and all though I did work out in the am.....that's about all I did :( So today I start anew! Knocked out 40 mins on my elliptical this am and I plan on shooting for another 40 tonight. Back to eating better and logging my food. I suppose I should weigh myself, but the lady who usually weighs herself everyday is scared to death to see what kind of damage I did on vacation. But honestly starts with the self, so tomorrow I will hoist my butt on my scale and see how bad it is.....hopefully not too bad. I am going to focus this week on setting some new goals. All though the end of summer is right around the corner, it's not over yet....especially not in So Cal! I think I am going to try to surprise the hubby with a weekend getaway in October for our anniversary. That should e a good motivator! I hope everyone is having a great day!

You can do it! Vacations are always a hard time to stay on track, especially in TEXAS! LOL.. I hope you are feeling well and rested from your trip, you seem to be back on track super fast already!

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Does walking around in 4" heels all day count as exercise? And if so how do I log that one? hahahahahahahah :)

If I walked around in heels all day I am not sure I would be able to walk the next day!

The heels probably don't count but the walking does! Next time you go walking opt for lower heels. emoticon

I doubt it counts as exercise unless you get your heart rate up but it will give your calf's one heck of a workout :)

Bad Weekend

Monday, June 13, 2011

I was not a very good sparker this weekend :( Two baseball parties.....one with mexican food and the other pizza.....my two weaknesses. I am not going to beat myself up about it though. I still got in work outs every day and today is the start of a new week. Yes, I certainly ruined my hope of getting to, or at least close to, my goal weight before I head to Texas....but it was actually worth it....LOL I had a ton of fun! Now I will just work my butt off (hopefully lieterally) and see where I end up two weeks from now.

Hey, a girl's just gotta have fun! Fun often times requires food, that's just the way it is! 80/20! You still have two weeks! All is not lost! emoticon

I think not beating yourself up over the weekend is a GREAT idea!! If it makes you feel any better, I ate Taco Bell for dinner tonight because I didn't get up early enough to make my lunch this morning before work. There ya go...we've traded sin for sin. emoticon Just keep on keepin' on because today's just Monday, which means you've got a whole week to make it right!

Motivation

Friday, June 10, 2011

So I know that any changes you make in your life should be for you, not because someone lese wants them. I am pretty good about doing that. But is it wrong or wierd that some of my weight loss motivation has nothing to do with me? Is it bad to want to look better so you can go "Haha, look at me now!"? Granted this is in no way my sole motivating factor, but it's there.....that little voice in the back of my head. Should I not worry about it and just take whatever motivation I can get?

Val - That's part of my "look at me now" motivation :)

    ROFL!!
Nope, not wrong, as long as that's not your ONLY motivation.

I don't think it's wrong at all, provided that it is not your sole source of motivation. I think we all like that feeling of "look at me now or I did what you said I never would be able to" because is shows how strong we are as women. We all like to prove that we can do it and become the women we have always wanted to be.

I don't think that is wrong i think its very normal I am like that I have this when I get to my goal look at me I will be so sexy ha ha you won't be as sexy as me right now thoughts. I bet I will feel like that I most likely won't blurt it out at anyone. Grab that motivation and run with it like you said its not the main reason then its all good.

FOXYFOTOGRAPHER 6/10/2011 1:24PM

No, I don't think that's wrong or weird at all! But, on the other hand, I think that has more to do with losing weight for yourself than you think. Take the motivation where you can get it because it's different for each of us, and when you find it, run as fast as you can with it! One of my motivators is hearing catcalls and whistles as I walk by again. When they do them, I will of course turn around and give them a dirty look, but inside I'll be smiling wholeheartedly. *he he he*
