Goals..a daily habit

Thursday, April 14, 2011

I "stole" this from a fellow Sparker.

For Week 1 the Tigers are working on the habit of Goals. We need to work on short term and well as long term and daily goals.

I have started writing a daily list of goals incorporating my daily goals and things to do to attain my longterm goals.I am wanting this to become a habit.I am a great procrastinator and this will help me to stay focused.

Great info ....so true. I have found ONE prepared bluberry muffin that has REAL bluberries but most others are not 'real' anything ....good arguement for reading labels!!

Or at the very least, reason to read the labels on all packaged foods carefully. Even my 7 and 9 year old know, the more ingredients, the less chance Mom will buy it :)

Onederland!!!

Friday, March 25, 2011

I have been here at Spark since 2009.The journey has had it's up's and downs. but I have finally found what works for me.I have tried numerous strategies ..trial and error.I joined the BLC and after the 2nd round I became Captain.

The friends I have made have kept me focused..even when I was having difficult times and not able to lose weight or stay on track the team still encouraged me.

After numerous attempts at "diets"and I have tried them all I decided I needed even more accountability.I needed to stand on the scale and have it written down for me I decided to join WW in Dec. It's too easy to see the scale..walk away..and say I'll start again.Knowing I have to get on the scale in front of the WW leader I know I can't pretend it doesn't matter.I have gained knowledge of my habits and have worked hard to change them.

Yesterday I got on the scale and it said 199.6!!This is a goal I have worked very hard to attain and seeing that was an amazing feeling.I know now that I can reach my goal. When I started and the scale said 270 I felt overwhelmed. So much to lose..but now 3 years later all the struggles are more than worth it.It took me a long time but through it I have changed the way I look at food and the way I view fitness. My life is different and I continue on this journey to becoming the best and healthiest I can be!!

Thank you to all my Spark-Friends for your support!! emoticon

Congratulations! That is really amazing! You should change your weight loss tracker to show where you began, and how far you have come - it will definitely inspire others to see that you started at 270 and are now in the 190's!
