Summer Camp Goals for BTS ...

As part of setting up for camp this week we were asked to share what goals we would like to reach during our time at camp. Of course, we'd all like to see a weight loss but this challenge is about looking Beyond The Scale (hence the name, BTS!).

Here are my top 3 goals:

    Great goals. I find FlyLady.net really helps me keep my house clean. It's a free website that sends you daily emails with 15 minute chores to do around the house. It's a great system.

    Great job in setting up these goals. I especially loved how well-rounded they are: nutrition, exercise, and general life. I agree about the organizing issue. A clutter-free house/office makes it easier to have a clutter-free mind. Have a great week!

Week 3 Review ... 80 days of Summer

I am really having a hard time right now getting back on track. I feel like I am on the road and running here and there most of the time. I am trying to stay on top of the fitness minutes, but the quick-eating to get out the door is really hurting my efforts.

I hope after this Week 4, life will settle down just a touch so I can get a grip on my eating and start making losing progress than gains!

WEEKLY RECAP - Week 3 came and went just as quickly as the first 2 weeks. Good grief, where oh where is my summer going!? I did fairly well on my tracking & plan until Saturday/Sunday.



Health & Fitness Plan:

Weekly Challenge:

Week 3 RECAP:

Tuesday - Track CICO emoticon ; FM's with youngest DD while oldest at v-ball camp emoticon
Wednesday - Track ALL foods into SP emoticon ; end day IN RANGE (was OVER)
Thursday - AM & PM walks emoticon ; water 12 cups emoticon
Friday - emoticon 4th of July emoticon emoticon ; NO POP
Saturday - FM's 45 emoticon ; eat in moderation at party emoticon


My 5th 5k which was my 1st officially timed run went better than I thought it would. The night before was the fireworks show and I wasn't in bed until almost midnight. I slept horribly. Then during the run I caught up with DD she was not feeling well, thought she was going to be sick and I couldn't leave her behind to run ahead and finish with a good time. I stayed back with her and we finally made it to the final stretch where she darted ahead of me and left ME behind! LOL. Brat!

ANYWAY, with walking 3x during the run to be with her I still ended the run with 35.49 minutes (no PR!) but I did place 9th in my age division. DH for his first 5k placed 10th in his division and DD placed 12th for hers! We were all pretty excited and can't wait for next years run. We will do even better!

    I ended up even after last week...no loss, no gain. I kind of blew it on the last two days, also!

Week 2 Review/Week 3 Plan ... 80 days of Summer

I'm back to keep myself accountable!

Week 2 has come and gone ... now to move on to week 3. Since life is slowing down a touch I am adding in 2 daily goals PLUS my weekly challenge. I started yesterday with my dear SparkFriend Leah a week long challenge of tracking foods. I'm calling mine "Back-To-Basics ~ Food Camp". I desperately need to get back to tracking and getting in my water & freggies/dairy. Together, Leah & I are going to work through the week and work our way to getting back on track. Today is our Day 2! emoticon


Health & Fitness Plan:

Week 2 RECAP:
Sunday - Water 12 cups (14 cups!!) emoticon
Monday - Dairy count {1-3 servings} emoticon (2 servings)
Tuesday - weigh & measure all foods (started off good until dinner!)
Wednesday - step count 13,000+ (14,158!)
Thursday - 100% of all goals on FitBit (YES!!!)
Friday - FM's in morning/bridal shower prep in evening (YES!!)
Saturday - Morning workout/survive shower festivities today! (YES!!)

WEEKLY RECAP - Overall I think I did okay. It was a crazy week running my DD to camp everyday and having to wait around 3 hours. I am pleased with the -1.0 loss for the week. It is the beginning of more losses to come! emoticon

    Hi, Jody. You are doing well so far! I'm hanging on by a thread...too many afternoon treats led to me having to resort to my "emergency" supper: Tuna & Lettuce. It's high protein/low cal so I've managed to stay on track both days.

As I posted last week, I am working on daily goals each day of my 80-day summer vacation. I also stated that I would update each week how the previous week went. Here is a brief recap of my Week 1!


Health & Fitness Plan:

WEEK 1:
Saturday - weight emoticon (forgot to take measurements!)
Sunday - water 8 cups emoticon
Monday - FM's 30 emoticon
Tuesday - Track CICO emoticon Really ugly but I held myself accountable!
Wednesday - Track ALL foods emoticon
Thursday - 12,000 step day emoticon 15,000+
Friday - double fitness day (AM) (PM) emoticon
Saturday - Freggie count {at least 5 servings} (only got in 3-1/2 servings)

WEEKLY RECAP - I was showing a little bit of a loss during the week but then the weekend hit. Weekends are tough - I am not going to lie about that. Plus with camping I got in lots of FM's but I also drank a lot of calories. emoticon emoticon

    I'm not a drinker but what if for every "drink" you have then you have a glass of water. That might cut down on some of the damage. Of course, it's all about balance so overall I think you are doing great and it's unfortunate that your weigh in is after the weekend. Maybe change it to Fridays or Tuesdays. emoticon

80 days of summer ....

I am working on a daily tasks plan over my 80-day summer vacation to get myself back on track. The past couple weeks have been tough and even though I had great plans to avoid it ... my health/fitness did get pushed to the back burner. No more!

I am officially on emoticon of my summer vacation and my health/fitness journey begins! Here is what I have planned for my first week. In a couple weeks the BTS Summer Camp will begin. I am looking forward to joining my fellow teammates as we come together to get Fit for Fall! emoticon

My plan - each day I will have (1) specific task that I want to complete along with my everyday daily goals. A lot of these will be back to basics but that is what I need right now. I'm going to take one step at a time & keep on moving.

At the end of each week, I will hold myself accountable and update my challenge stats.



Health & Fitness Plan:

Week 1:
Saturday - weight & measurements taken
Sunday - water 8 cups
