Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

I want to share my experience with apple cider vinegar (ACV). I have had psoriasis for the past 20 years. It was never extreme but I would have breakouts on my elbows, back of hands, and knees every year about this time (June). The lesions would last for about 3-4 months.

My daughter for the past couple of years developed a rash which would come and go. The doctors thought it was an allergy to peanuts, and put her on Zyrtec. She was taking the zyrtec about every other day. The rash would show up on different parts of her body, and be very itchy.

She is into organic and clean eating (no processed foods). She came across a book titled, "Apple Cider Vinegar" by Paul C. Bragg. About 3 months ago she started taking their organic, raw, unfiltered ACV daily, mixed with water and honey. Since starting on the ACV she has not had any kind of rash at all.

I started the ACV about a month ago when I saw the beginning of the psoriasis that I get every year at this time. I kid you not.......the red spots on my hands disappeared within a few weeks. They never developed into the itchy white patches of psoriasis.

I never realized how many health benefits there are in vinegar. Their website is very interesting and enlightening on the thereputic effect of daily vinegar ingestion. It is a natural anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory!

I've been using Braggs for two months now for dilation of veins and arteries for better blood/oxygen flow and I've been remembering better and more alert since.

My mom" discovered" acv over 50 yrs ago she use to follow Adele Davis in learning how to eat healthier. For people who have trouble with constipation a tablespoon of ACV in a cup of hot water and a teaspoon of honey every morning really does the trick!
Glad to hear that a natural remedy has helped you and daughter. We are never too old to learn! emoticon

My brother Anthony♥

Sunday, May 26, 2013

I am the eldest of six....4 girls, 2 boys. Five years ago, my youngest brother passed away from cancer, my baby sister died last year from hepatitis, and yesterday my other brother died from complications with diabetes. It's almost incomprehensible that the three youngest siblings in our family are gone.

My two sisters and I really believe that their lifestyles had a lot to do with all their health issues. They were too young to die. I am 15 years older than the youngest, and it almost seems that it should have been the other way around.

A few years ago my wonderful daughter made me realize what I was actually doing to myself by eating all the processed foods out there. I tried to convey this to my younger siblings. They always agreed with me but did what they wanted, the same thing I used to do when my daughter would preach to me about getting healthier.

At age 74, I am in pretty good health, no kinds of meds, only vitamins and supplements. I am committed to living a healthier lifestyle. I only wish I had started earlier in life, and that it's not too late.

I have many loving memories of our younger days growing up. Being the eldest, it was my responsibility to care for the younger ones. I somehow feel I have lost my three little kids. Thanks for listening to me. It somehow helps to write things down.

emoticon As much as we KNOW what is right, it can be hard to wrap our brains and emotions around it. I have years of emotional eating at my beck and call---- so understand how hard it is to consistently eat unprocessed food. sorry about your losses. You did what you could, but ultimately, your siblings made their own choices. Hugs, Rosy!

It is never easy to lose our loved ones! I lost my younger sister some years ago to cancer - we were very close and I still miss her so much! She used to think that a Little Debbie cake was a good breakfast. :( When she got cancer, she didn't have anything to fight it with. :( Hugs to you! Try to remember all the good times! emoticon
