Sunday, February 24, 2008

I saw the informerical for these crunchless ab workouts. They were only 12 bucks...so I ordered them. :) They will be good to add to my ab routines. :) Should be here within 2 weeks!

I don't know yet if the program works, but the company is not worth buying anything from. I ordered the $10 three-pack about 5 weeks ago. Today, I got home to three more packages from them which I did not order. I tried to call them but got "not open at this time" recording, so I had to send three disputes through my credit card company. I'm not sure the disputes will be approved because Crunchless Abs does have my initial authorization. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY; THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF

Well you met your girl. I love ab work. Especially floor work! I love to do standing ab work too though. I think it works all the muscles of the abs and lower back, so you good solid total core strengthening. :)

Sickness is finally going away...

Sunday, February 24, 2008

Thank god!!! I can finally somewhat talk.....I seem to be getting better. I feel MUCH better, anyways. I'm still resting my voice. But at least I'm not laying in bed on my butt, like I've been doing for the past week. Blah...11 days of being sick! The good thing is....I haven't lose or gained anything. I figured I had...and really didn't care. My eating hasn't been 100%, but not terrible either. :)

So I'm working on a new plan of attack. Of course...you know me...always plannin'. :)

So I have my exercise rotation all done up. My plan for lower intensity days as far as eating goes:

Breakfast: 250 calories
Snack: 100 calories
Lunch: 350 calories
Snack: 100 calories
Dinner: 450 calories
Snack: 100 calories
about 1350 calories

On higher intensity days:

Breakfast: 300 calories
Snack: 100 calories
Lunch: 450 calories
Snack: 100 calories
Dinner: 550 calories
Snack: 100 calories
about 1600 calories

I'm doing better with eating more. It was hard at first, but it seems to be part of my routine now. :) And I feel confident with my plan, because I know I eat lots of food and still lower my body fat percentage. This way it's healthy, I'm ensuring I don't lose muscle, and I have lots of energy.

So wish me luck!

Don't Expect SO MUCH!

Sunday, February 24, 2008

I have people constantly emailing me...or I notice on the boards..people get so angry and frustrated and seem to lose ALL motivation if they don't consistently see results every single week. They consider 2 weeks without a loss a plateau. That's SO not true. I know girls who have been stuck at the same weight for over a year and still continue to workout and try even harder.

One key word of advice...DON'T EXPECT SO MUCH. If you think you're going to lose 2-3 pounds or more each week...it's not going to happen. And you honestly shouldn't want too. If you lose more then 1-2 pounds each week then you're more then likely not losing fat but also muscle. And that's exactly what you shouldn't be doing. You should strive to maintain and build muscle, not lose it!

And please measure yourself too. Measuring is key as well. It means your body is physically changing shape. Don't get obsessed with the numbers on the scale. Realize you may never be at that "ideal" weight. You should be MUCH more concerned with lowering your body fat percentage...and building muscle mass. Come to the realization that you may actually weigh more and finally be happy with your body.

Set realistic expectations. Don't expect perfection from yourself. Some weeks you may do EVERYTHING right and you may not lose. So what?!?! You're working to improve your health and live longer. That's something you need to be incredibly proud of. Your body goes through MAJOR physiological changes when you're losing weight...your metabolism is in a constant state of flux. Sometimes it just needs time to readjust....hence, no weight loss. Or maybe you broke even, fat loss, muscle gained. And that's great!

Don't be obsessed with numbers. The scale is a tricky thing, that really isn't a good testament to your progress. Focus on the changes you make within yourself. :)

I really needed to read this! I weighed myself today and I have been so discouraged because things just aren't going well. The scale has not been my friend! I'm going to keep this in mind and dust of the tape measure.

Well I went to the doctor AGAIN today. My mom thought I may have strep, since I don't seem to be getting better. Well the doctor said NO strep..just laryngitis. So still no talking. This will be my third day of NO talking. It's driving me nutso! I miss Geno..I can't talk to him at all. Blah. Well lots of rest this weekend. I gotta get rid of this crap once and for all!
