Happy Hump Day

So it's Wednesday...the middle of the week. Gotta love that!
9 more days til I see my baby! Woohooooo! The days are flying by! I figured they'd go slow as heck!
Anyways this morning has been really good. Did my workouts. I did Burn It Up from the Slim in 6 series for the first time. 60 minutes long and it killed me! In a good way. I also did YBB again. Love that. Gonna walk randomly through out the day on my elliptical too.
For dinner I'm having Jamaican Shrimp...new recipe. Working on planning my meals out for next week. :P

    I am also trying to plan my meals by the week. I always forget something at the store and then that idea goes out the window. Hopefully I will get the hang of it soon!

Trying To Recover

Yesterday completely sucked. Not exercise or eating wise, but just emotionally. Got a lot going on. Dammit, I should be happy. I feel like people are sabotaging me. I'm supposed to be happy, right? Blah. It will get better. Today is beautiful...So I'm trying not to let certain people bug me. I know I'm being vague...but I don't want to go into it, but I do want everyone to know I'm feeling vulnerable and sad today.
Anyways...work outs were good this am. My eating has been abosolutely fabulous. Lots of fruit and veggies, whole grains, good protein, etc. No cheating at all. Woohoo! Just got done making dinner...

I opted to not make the Flounder Au Gratin whereas someone used all the Parm cheese! LoL. So I made Shrimp Scampi instead. It looks delicious! Have a good day everyone!

Awesome Monday So Far!

So it's Monday and usually I'm bummed on Mondays because the weekend is over. Don't get me wrong I had a great weekend, lots of action, but I'm happy the beginning on the week is here. One more day closer to seeing my honey!
Can you believe it? I can't. Only 11 short days, after 3 and a half years of waiting! It's awesome! I rented a car this morning. So happy that I did because they were having a special that weekend. Only going to cost me like 65 bucks whereas it could have cost me about 110. YAY!
I can't believe I'm going to see Geno so soon. It rocks!

My workouts were awesome this morning and over the weekend. High energy and full of intensity! This morning was my ab routine. I did Booty Sculpt & Abs, Kickin Core, Hip Hop Abs and Ab Ripper X. Then I danced my bootie off outside. LoL.

For dinner I'm making Pineapple-Ham Kebabs...they sound yummy, so we'll see how they turn out. I'm off to get a few things done!

Strawberry Margarita's = Health Food?

This was from a hungry girl article, but I had to share!

We LOVE this story! Recent findings by U.S. and Thai researchers suggest that combining ethanol (the type of alcohol found in rum, vodka, tequila, etc.) with strawberries and blackberries actually boosts the activity of the antioxidants in the fruits. In fact, they say ANY colored fruit might be more healthful with the addition of a splash of alcohol (and lucky for us, we can't think of too many colorless fruits!). The researchers accidentally learned that treating berries with alcohol increased their antioxidant capacity and free-radical scavenging ability (both very good things) while exploring ways to help keep strawberries fresh during storage. It could be time to blend up some fancy 'n fruity daiquiris. Just be sure to use lots of fresh fruit and go easy on the sweet mixers! BTW -- we don't recommend dousing all your fruit in alcohol, but if yo u're gonna indulge in some cocktails, it's good to know you'll be getting the most out of your fruit!

  Gina, Hi, I have not been on here in quite a while. Glad you are feeling better I have just got over the same thing and it seems to last forever. YUK..... I have a question for you ? Where did you get your recipe's? Your food log looks so good but how do you find what to cook. I really don't like to cook and I think that is a big part of my weight loss problem. I would love any advice you could give me. Thanks in advance. Have a wonderful warm weekend..... Oh one more thing. where do you order your exercise tapes? Talk to you soon... Gina
