Today is day 6 of entering my food/water intake, exercise in my log book. I do it this way because it's easier for me to transfer it online later in the day or all at once on another day if at all possible. I have been using this log book since 2007 (when I joined SP). The book hasn't been used heavily, I hate to admit. But I am going to try to fill the book up this year! I did not log what I ate over the weekend, but have been trying to keep track of my steps.
Today my pedometer keeps falling off, even though it has an extra clip, and I think I will need to add some steps since I did the elliptical (fell off then) and took a 20 minute walk with the dog & kids (fell off during the walk too!).
I am very optimistic today because I actually am beginning to see that I CAN fit in a 20 minute elliptical workout with my 3 yr old around. It takes some planning, but it can be done. I've done it twice now! Yipppeeeee! I need to plan more about how to get strength training in, as well as possible DVD workouts. I now realize how out of shape I am and really want to be able to get fit!
So, my optimism for today will hopefully give me encouragement for the future days to come when I feel I can't do a workout or feel to sluggish to get moving. A few days ago I felt like doing nothing, had a slight headache and MADE myself get on the elliptical. You know what? My headache was gone after I worked out. All that oxygen I guess ~ LOL! I was still sluggish, but a lot less than I had been and worked through what I needed to get done for the day.
So grab some optimism and run with it!
