1/25- I was pretty much useless today. Two loads of laundry and that is about all.
1/26- Thursday is always a pretty busy day with all the back and forth running of my kids around. I had to catch up on some housework (put away laundry, straighten 5 yr old's room, clean bathroom, another load of laundry) and that pretty much tired me out. I hope to be back to some SP videos tomorrow; not sure I will be up for cardio (the elliptical) since my sinuses still aren't clear and I already have asthma issues. This has set me back with finishing the January Jumpstart Challenge, btu somethings are just inevitable I guess. Looking onward!

1/23- I got in 30 minutes on the elliptical and did the SP video 9-Minute Total Lower Body Workout. I did not have a lot of motivation, but I did get some things done around the house today.
1/24- Well, I could blame the past few days of being unmotvated and tiredness on lack of sleep or even lack of sunshine, but the reality of it is that a head cold was brewing. Every week since before Christmas someone (mainly my kids) has been sick every week. Stomach viruses, colds, and then this past week my husband had a nasty cold and I probably got it form him. So even though today is my day sans kids, I can't workout and have to take it easy so I can get better. I wish I could 'feel' motivated, but I am achy and just want to sleep! I am getting ready to have lunch now (chicken noodle soup) and may work on ordering some photos online this afternoon before having to pick up my daughter from school. Other than that, I don't think much else is going to get done today. This kind of stuff always happens when I HAVE the time! I guess you just can't plan for that!

1/19-This was a 'down' day due to digestive issues, as well as a busy day.
1/20- I made up for yesterday by doing Day 5 & 6 SP videos for the January JumpStart Challenge along with 30 minutes on the elliptical. Again, I was tired and lazy because of this cold January weather and could've easily just sat down to read a book or surf on the internet, but I am devoted to this! So I went downstairs, put a load of laundry in, got my 5 yr old situated on her computer to play a game and then got on my elliptical for 30 minutes. It felt ! I have a radio in the corner of the room and just listen to what is on the local station and today they were playing some great workout music! That really makes a difference, so I am going to make a point to put together some great music on my mp3 player and hook it up to the portable speaker I got for Christmas (just haven't had the time to sit and do this.) One song in particular came on while I was on the elliptical: "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" by Kelly Clarkson. I don't think I've heard this song before and it really pumped me up! Love it! Here is the video for it:
So, my 1st load of laundry is done and in the dryer, 2nd load is in the washer and I have 2 more loads to wash. Yes, winter time there is always more laundry because the clothes are thicker. We're expecting anywhere from 3-8" of snow tomorrow (the 1st of the season here....that's actually unbelievable!) and my kids are so hoping to get out to play in the snow. We shall see. I have 1 week and 1 day left of this January JumpStart Challenge and am so pumped that I have gotten this far! January had never been a great month for me o stay comitted to exercise due to the cold, dreary days and usually lack of sunshine. But something is different this year. Not sure what, but I am running with it! I am getting stronger everyday and hope that I can achieve the weight loss I so long for by the time summer arrives. I know what I need to do, I just need to keep this motivation to keep doing it!

Yesterday (Day 17) was a rest day. I was kid-less and decided I was going to take a relaxing day for ME! I finished a book I've been reading, watched 3 episodes of an hour long show that was TIVO'ed, and then put some books on my Kindle for future reading.
Today (Day 18), I was tired and knew I had to get in my exercise early today or it wouldn't happen. After I returned from dropping my oldest daughter at school, I told my 5 yr old that I was exercising. So at 9:05am I got on the elliptical for 30 minutes, then did the 8 minute video from yesterdays challenge and today's 12 minute challenge video. And, I reached 500 fitness minutes for the month! This is only the 2nd time I have done this. Very proud if I do say so myself! Not sure I will hit the 1,000 fitness minutes trophy, but I can try I guess!
It is cold and windy as all heck here today and it would've been so easy to just lounge around today. Right now I am tired, but I feel great knowing I forced myself to get that exercise in!
