1/19-This was a 'down' day due to digestive issues, as well as a busy day.
1/20- I made up for yesterday by doing Day 5 & 6 SP videos for the January JumpStart Challenge along with 30 minutes on the elliptical. Again, I was tired and lazy because of this cold January weather and could've easily just sat down to read a book or surf on the internet, but I am devoted to this! So I went downstairs, put a load of laundry in, got my 5 yr old situated on her computer to play a game and then got on my elliptical for 30 minutes. It felt ! I have a radio in the corner of the room and just listen to what is on the local station and today they were playing some great workout music! That really makes a difference, so I am going to make a point to put together some great music on my mp3 player and hook it up to the portable speaker I got for Christmas (just haven't had the time to sit and do this.) One song in particular came on while I was on the elliptical: "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" by Kelly Clarkson. I don't think I've heard this song before and it really pumped me up! Love it! So, my 1st load of laundry is done and in the dryer, 2nd load is in the washer and I have 2 more loads to wash. Yes, winter time there is always more laundry because the clothes are thicker. We're expecting anywhere from 3-8" of snow tomorrow (the 1st of the season here....that's actually unbelievable!) and my kids are so hoping to get out to play in the snow. We shall see. I have 1 week and 1 day left of this January JumpStart Challenge and am so pumped that I have gotten this far! January had never been a great month for me o stay comitted to exercise due to the cold, dreary days and usually lack of sunshine. But something is different this year. Not sure what, but I am running with it! I am getting stronger everyday and hope that I can achieve the weight loss I so long for by the time summer arrives. I know what I need to do, I just need to keep this motivation to keep doing it!
