Just got done teaching and am back at home for about an hour and a half. Plan on relaxing and eating something before my church's youth group meeting. I am one of the leaders. I love it, but some Fridays I am just soooo tired after work that I want to go home and stay home. Oh well, no more complaining!
Anyway, the youth group is making cookie pops to sell at our church's pancake breakfast tomorrow. Half the profit will go to the church and the other half for youth group activities. These cookie pops are oreo cookies dippeed in melted chocolate and sprinkles all on a stick. Sounds so yummy! I will probably have one...but only one! Tomorrow the youth group will be at the pancake breakfast helping out and selling these yummy treats.
Tomorrow night is my sister's 12 year anniversary in the United States. She is 17 and was adopted from China by my parents. I love her to pieces! Every year on her "anniversary" we go out, or order in, a yummy dinner and watch the video that my parents took of their trip to china/ and the orphanage where she lived.
Sunday is church and then I plan on doing NOTHING! I need a rest. This weekend will be fun but I really need to rest after this long crazy week!
I weighed in today and am down 9.7 pounds since January 7. Super happy!
It's been a few days since I've blogged, so here goes! The past few days it has been cold and snowy. I haven't had as much energy as usual and am a little more down in the dumps. nothing major, but the weather can really take a toll on you.
Let's see...I met with my principal to review my observation. It went VERY well. She was very impressed and happy with me. It was nice to hear! I have been putting a LOT of work in this year and it feels nice to be recognized. My students are progressing nicely, and I am super happy to get such a good observation.
Thursday marks my one more SP anniversary. I know that isn't really that long in comparison to many others on here, but I am proud of myself. I'm still going strong and haven't had any major slip ups. On Thursday I plan on taking progress pics reviewing the month. I hope to see some progress in them. I know my clothes are fitting much better and overall I have a TON more energy!
Being Feb 1, I better sit down and figure out my goals for the month.
1) I want to take my progress pics on Feb. 7. (One month with SP)
2) Be more consistent with drinking water. I'm doing ok, but don't get in all my water everyday.
3) I want to lose 5 pounds this month!
4) I want to make my collage this weekend. I want to have inspirational word and pics that keep me motivated and inspired!
I have noticed that I'm so much more positive and happy lately! I LOVE it! Little things don't seem to get to me as much anymore. I guess being happier with myself is making all other aspects of my life better. I've noticed I've been a lot calmer and friendlier around my 6th graders. Not that I was a MONSTER with them before, but I've noticed that I am less irritated and frustrated by little things that they do.
Day 25 today...almost at the 4 week mark. Still going strong!
Today I had a formal observation from the assistant principal at my school. She came in and observed math. I was super nervous all day! I teach math after lunch so the kids are usually all worked up at this time. My kids were great and the observation went well. They were focused, participating a LOT, and asking good questions! I was very pleased. I have a classroom of 28 ESL students- all at varying language levels. I know they are smart and all, but they often clam up when we have guests in our classroom. THey showed great language usage today and the assistant principal was so impressed with them and their progress. I hate that sometimes our ESL classrooms get a bad rap. Some teachers think our classes drag down test scores and what not. Time to prove them wrong! My students are smart and motivated and I am VERY proud of them. :)

Ok so I'm over the 3 week mark. I was planning on taking progress pics yesterday, but decided against it. It's that TOM and I didn't feel good about my body. Therefore, I decided not to take pics. I will probably wait for the 1 month mark on Feb 7.
Nothing really special going on. I'm still going strong and eating within my calorie range. I'm trying to stick to about 1350. It really isn't as hard as I thought it would be. Today is really the first day that I feel a bit tired and run down. I guess that is to be expected sometimes.
As of yesterday morning I was down 6.8 pounds in 3 weeks. No too bad! I'm happy with my progress and proud of myself for not having any "out of control" days so far.
