going to Nimbus with the boys

Thursday, July 29, 2010

I am looking forward to the water and a bit of boating. The guys will get wet and run and play--fun to watch.
Sun, water, food, skateboards and guys are good.

I printed out a lot of info on places to go and a chart to calculate travel times in hours between popular American cities--should be helpful.

I am purchasing the ticket today---2 months for 500 and some dollars. I can get on and off at any point and stay as long as I want. Just what I want.

Hey the fair is having free coffee from Dunkin Donuts this week end at the fair entrance--just thought I'd let you know--I like FREE. Free is from 10 for a couple of hours.

I remember: " There is a difference between deciding & doing." emoticon emoticon

I know that you are going to have a great time at Nimbus! Getting wet on a summer day is the best.

I'm so excited for you and the wonderful tickets you found, it sounds like a great deal.

Oh, Yeah I could have used some coffee this weekend. To bad I waited so long to catch your blog.

Thanks for blogging :-)

I live here and am finding new places to visit!!!

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

I found a long lost niece at the fair!! She is room mates with another niece that I have not seen in 20 years. It will be fun catching up sitting on the deck and chatting.
I will be going a few places here in Ca. to begin my trip. I plan on a slow trip taking time in small towns to walk and talk to the locals. I must remember there is no RUSH. Chill. Every town has its story. Every person theirs. emoticon emoticon

I live in california so there are a few must see places. San Francisco. Yosemite. Monterey/Pacific Grove.Lake Tahoe. That would pretty much cover the city, the ocean, the mountains and the most beautiful lake you have ever seen!

In Austin, Texas a must-see is the Mexican Free-Tailed Bats emerging from the Congress Avenue bridge at sundown. I've seen it many times and am still amazed each time.

New York is my state. Can't tell you what to see downstate as I've never been there (New York City), but Central and Upstate NY have some pretty awesome things. The Adirondack Mtns., Niagara Falls, 1000 Island, etc. There are many things to see around me, just don't blink driving through the little village where I live...you may miss it...lol
Have fun and be safe on your adventure.
hugs,
Candy

Nashville is open for business, despite drowning in May!
Good for you going alone. (I was on my way to book an Alaskan cruise a few years ago, next thing I knew hubby was right behind me-he loved it!)

in CAlifornia there are lots of things to see... go to San Francisco.. eat seafood on the Wharf... look at the Golden Gate bridge... go to the Redwoods way up north.. the largest living things on the planet.... hrm, here in Sacramento we have hte capital but they have those everywhere.... I'd say go to Fort Brag which is on the ocean across the way from Sacramento about 4 hours or so. There is an old Fort there, tide pools, and shopping... go deep sea fishing or something... go to low tide and stick your finger in a sea creature :) ooo.. that sounds fun myself!

That is a movie that keeps your attention to the end!!! No boredom here!

Martina McBride put on a spectacular performance----enjoyed it.
