From Self Talk, Soul Talk:
Discipline is hard, but despair is much harder.
Despair continues to wrinkle your soul. Discipline might not feel good, but it feeds your self-esteem and makes one productive.
Discipline should be exercised in tiny pieces, not big chunks.
Lucretius said,"The drops of rain make a hole in the stone--not by violence but by oft falling."
Small, daily disciplines can develop a sturdy soul=--strong and protected from the crushing effects of despair.
