Church, held babies for a while in the nursery.

No exercise today, except picked up large blue bucket of acorns--do you know how long it takes to pick up that many? If I don't keep them up this time of year I would have no lawn and all acorns--not good :)

Sleep well my friend. emoticon

I have an old ornamental pear tree...the fruit can not be eaten, but it sure produces and drops lots of pears. It's a daily job to keep them picked up so the dog doesn't eat them! As much as I love it in bloom in the spring; it may have to be replaced...Sharon

Do you feed the squirrels with the acorns? My yard gets covered in sweet gum balls! Yuk.

A reminder of life

From SHERI1969 ~~~this brought tears to my eyes, I had to share this with you!!

LISTS TO LIVE BY - SIMPLE LIVING

THINGS TO FEEL NOSTALGIC ABOUT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A barefoot walk along a sandy beach.

A quiet visit to the place where you were raised.

Listening to a rippling brook running over the rocks through a forest of autumn leaves.

Singing the song of your alma mater.

Looking over childhood photos in the family album.

Watching your now-grown child leave home.

Standing silently beside the grave of a close personal friend or relative.

The smell and sounds of a warm fire.

An old letter, bruised with age, signed by one who loved you.

Climbing to the top of a wind-swept hill.

Getting alone - all alone - and reading aloud.

Christmas Even, late at night.

Certain poems...certain melodies.

Wedding...graduations...diplomas.

Snow...sleds...toboggans.

Saying good-bye.

got a walk in

Tuesday, October 06, 2009

emoticonit was just 20 minutes --but I did it!! I went to town to pay my property taxes and then decided to take a little walk. It made me feel a lot better.

Today is the day to balance everything so the year ends well.

This made me feel better about my week!!!

You know you had a bad day when:

1. The parachute company says you'll get a full refund.

2. They say the house didn't float very far at all.

3. They're all amazed that you go on living each day.
Well, at least the operation was a partial success.

4. The "National Enquirer" just loved those nude shots of you.

5. The District Attorney says he only has a few more questions.

6.At least the passenger side air bag inflated.

7. Jerry Springer wants you for this "secret admirer show."

8.The insurance pays the full book value ($312) for your 1956 T-Bird.

9. The thieves left the push lawn mower and hedge trimmers.

10. Those Grand Juries always over-react. Don't worry about it.

11. Look on the bright side, those fertility drugs worked 6 times better than expected!

one week 12 exercise and 9 days eating well

Sunday, October 04, 2009

I have had three hard days trying to get back on track. Sick and just wanting to feel well again.
I will just exercise and watch a a movie perhaps the endorphins will kick in and I will feel better.
I feel like the walking dead.
I am off to read your words--I know that there is a laugh in there somewhere! :)

Hi... hope you were able to get outta your slump. I had one myself today... baked food all day and just laid around. I hardly ever do that but I think I have been feeling sick so my body is recouping. Everyone has down days!
