week 2 exercising

Monday, August 03, 2009

emoticon I made it for 2 weeks getting more than enough exercise.
THE BEST PART: NOT A LOT OF PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to my daughters and played with the great grand kids in the pool.
It is always fun to see her, the grand kids (grown) and the great grand kids. I look at them all in wonder, and think how lucky I am to have them in my life. I never get enough of their laughter.

I wish that the house would clean itself while I play in the yard!!!!
I want to straighten the house before My New Sister comes for her visit. It will be interesting getting to know her. How funny life is to get a sister at the age of 65--she is 63 and we have a birthday in the same month!!! We also share a name. That shook me a bit!!!

I am off to finish the laundry, I wish you a lazy, fun day.

I understand you have a new sister, I am curious, how did you find her? It would be exciting to meet after all this time. I (for one) am looking forward to hearing more about this upcoming event.

Yes, and spending time with the grand kids. LOVE IT

Kinda funny

Friday, July 31, 2009

There has been a house vacant for some time now, it was making our neighborhood look ugly, so I decided to clean it up a bit.
Well, we spent at least 3 hours sweating and loading the pu with the mess.
Then, after going to the dump, who should appear? A man saying he was the lead guy sent to inspect the property for clean up from the Bank that was repossessing it!!!!!!!
Oh, Well, I still got my exercise and my fingers were itching to cut the roses down so that they would be pretty when they blommed again.

Hope your day has been nice. emoticon

I hope the inspector appreciated the hard work you had done. And if the roses need trimming, I would go ahead... (actually I think December thru Feb are actually the best time to prune) because they undoubtably need it.

If it is a rental they roses will probably never get trimmed up.

Thank you
for making your community look better.

Did it again

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Well, I got that good exercise in again. I walked for an hour. Trimmed the Ivy on the neighbors fence, I never knew it would take 3 hours to just get the thing looking decent.
I even found an old tv in the mess along with several glass bottles and a telephone!!!
Needless to say it hadn't been cut in many years ~no one could use the sidewalk it was mostly overgrown with ivy~
Many folks stopped to talk and thank me. Good stuff, even had a nice fresh peach given to me as I worked, It was juicy and good. The gal in the wheel chair can now use our side of the street now, and the mothers walking their children no longer have to walk into the street to get around the ivy.
It took me three hours to cut it and I still have to pack the pu with it.

So far ,so good~ not a lot of pain!!!!!! emoticon

Now THAT's something to be proud of. To not only clear the ivy from your neighbour's place but make it so the people in wheelchairs can go down the street is a wonderful gift to many, many people and an act of kindness that will not too soon be forgotten. Way to go! emoticon

A great day here at home..

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Well, I started to the walking class and the traffic was sooo bad that I turned around and came home. That was a good decision. We walked for about 2hours and then cut up a couple of limbs and did some other things in the yard.

Normally I would have continued on to the exercise class, feeling that it was not good to change my mine. Well, I have been reading this very interesting book called, The verbally abusive relationship and it has me thinking in a way of kindness to myself. This was a kind act to ME.

I exercised for about 3 hours. Felt great, no PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was done at my pace.

Hope ya all have a great day~~~~~ emoticon

I made the 7 day exercise goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, July 26, 2009

emoticon Saturday I succeeded in exercising for 7 days. It has been awhile. The important thing is that I DID IT. I feel pretty good.
( day 1 of 2nd week)

I also found a free exercise & walking program at Kaiser , near Arden, there are a great group of people there~~ they walk indoors and outdoors depending on the weather. I walked about 20 minutes with them before an appointment yesterday. On Monday I will go 3 days a week. One can sign up at any time & join in. Of course it will be on the scheduled times.

I had a few day for myself and also enjoyed camping with the family. It is fun to watch them change from year to year and yet keep their basic personalities. I guess watching the kids jump from the high rocks into the water, feeling soo free is one of my favorite things, There are so few places children can just run free and not be told to lower their voices, or to watch out that they may break something. Here they could float in a boat by themselves and regroup or join in the fun with others. Kids need more of that sort of thing. Year round!!

I am going off to buy some sod for the back yard. I hope Home Depot has some left --the camper had to be removed before picking up the sod.

Thanks for stoppin' by---------MARY
