I t is too quiet--Everyone returned home after the week end.

Back to the walks and less food. I walked the river this (Monday)
evening--there were a lot of distance swimmers. They made me want to jump in the water looked sooo inviting. Well, I will wait until 1:00 on Tuesday--I will be spending four hours with the boys & friends at the Club.

Well, I hope your doing well--- emoticon

They tied the Knot!!!!!

emoticonThe kids got married--Her family was there too--they were late, but they were there. I think that they decided that the kids would get married with or without her family present. The dinner went well-a lot of laughter and the bride & groom were full of love.

I ate everything in sight.

Family spent a few nights & we ate a lot again===a gain for me!!
Everyone has just headed back to thier homes.

Well, the plan for today is to let my gall bladder get some rest--it hasn't bothered me for a few years--all that meat & cake got it angry. I didn't have to eat all that junk-- Oh, well, another day ahead.

Gotta get ready for church.
Hope your day is going well.

Will they marry or not?Weight up 1 pound.

Friday, August 08, 2008

emoticonMy grandson is white his lady is not--her family stopped the wedding 2 times-after it was planed. Now I get a call that they are going to Tahoe---I guess I'll just sit tight and when they call us Fri afternoon for dinner we can see if they went through with it or not. This racial thing is just silly!!!!!! His color is not going to change.

I walked today for about 4.5 miles. Exercised for 15.
Ate every thing in sight. emoticon

I am not worried about the weight it is only temp.
Friday it is veggies.

I can mind my own business and not waste my energy on other folks stuff---
they do a very fine job of living their own life--live and enjoy, live & learn------

I am to live & let Live!!!!!

I do NOT have to eat over STUFF--I can leave it all to God.
He does NOT need my help--all is ok.

I need to go to sleep. emoticon

I need to paint that ol' deck.

Then I can decorate the bed rooms a bit. The fun part.

Hope your doing well.

Hey Mary! My sister is married to an African man from Congo and they just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary last December. Her picture is on my Spark Page (LAUGHINGROSE) under my friends list. Click on her and see what results they achieved,,,other than they are both PhD's (Doctor) and the oldest daughter was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Isn't it funny when the racial card shows up?

I remember when my Dad was against the marriage...for their sake...he thought it would be too hard to deal with prejudice...but after talking with pastor and thinking about it...his comment was "go ahead...our family does things differently and we are here to back you up." emoticon

Don't let the situation stress you out. Just give them your blessing and be available when or if things get tough.

My baby girl turns 45 today

Wednesday, August 06, 2008

I hear her voice from far away saying "HI MOM" and again I think of the evening when she decided that she would chose today as her birthday. How excited I was to be having my first baby.
My sweet baby girl.
She is in El Centro taking care of business--My girl is definitely a woman now--wife, mom, grandma, business woman--a great package. It has been a pleasure to watch her blossom emoticon

My plan for today is to eat well and walk at least 3 miles.

The elephant is roaring ( or trying to in the living room)

Breakfast:
carrot juice

Lunch:
Mc Donalds grilled chicken wrap-no sauce--side of salad --I open up the wrap cut the the meat into strips & tortilla in half and stuff each half with salad and then eat the rest of the salad. Very filling.

Dinner:
Meat & veggies
ff sf popsicle

Hope your day is going well.

On Sunday I went to Oregon

Tuesday, August 05, 2008

emoticonOne of my goals was to go forth and have fun.
Not to worry if I did it on my own. I went to see my brother & his wife and then on to see an Uncle, hadn't seen him in at least 30 years. I t was great it is as if the years melted away. It was soo much fun to talk of the fun times as a child.

Oregon was welcoming and the weather was perfect--the people as usual were friendly every where I went.

I ate pretty good and did not even try not to eat the STEW & BISCUIT!!!!!!!!! YUMMY.

Well, I am home happy, relaxed, a little tired--because I did all the driving & I LIKED it. I ate where I wanted, I slept in the hotels that I liked--it was great.

Thursday is weigh in at HIGH NOON. I hope that I weigh less.

I now am going to wash my car & then take myself to a funny movie.

Hope your doing well--I thank you for writing your blog--it reminds me that I am not in this alone.
