As the year and month come to a close I have sat back and looked at what has been achieved and not achieved this year.

As most of you know I have had a very stressful year which has given me many setbacks.

I set myself the yearly target of 10000 fitness minutes and it has finally been achieved today. Not many minutes really but until August had fallen way behind my schedule. Thankfully today I achieved it with one day to spare. It has given me my sense of achievement and the great feeling that goes with that.

Not much else has been achieved of my personal goals but there is always tomorrow.

Many have asked me what resolutions I shall set for the new year. My answer is none. Every time I set myself New Year resolutions I fail so this year instead I shall just continue on a day to day basis and improve daily on one.

Thank you all for your support during 2011 and now we shall move forward with more success in our goals be they large or small.

Happy 2012 - good health, happiness and most of lots of love to surround you all.

Not making resolutions is great but you might want to add writing to your daily tasks. You have a gift in your writing.

'I don't make resolutions, but I do set goals and actions for me to get there.'

That makes real sense to me. You will do it Georgia, and I will be right behind you!

I have had a very difficult year this year and although I have not achieved much in the weight loss / getting fitter area I have had some marvellous support from my Spark friends along the way.

I need your prayers for my mum. She needs a biopsy on Monday for a possible lymphoma and I would like lots of prayers so that it is benign. Thank you.

I love my mum so much and just want her to be well. I appreciate you all and wish you all a Merry Christmas

My goodness hasn't the month flown.

Update on my feet. New orthotics coming with a softer material being used.
Calf muscles very tight and had them stretched out by the physio. Need to walk more and stretch more.

I am also low in iron causing my tiredness. So my drs orders were eat more meat, exercise more and stretch more.

Good news but until the feet don't hurt I can't walk far as work comes first.

Overall I am pleased with the results and am trying harder to lose the excess I have gained.

    What if you tried riding bikes for exercise? You use a different part of your feet so it might not hurt...
I hope the new orthotics will help though!

    So glad to hear your feet are starting to feel a wee bit better. You will get those extra pounds worked off quick enough once you are allowed and capable of resuming your normal activities, I'm sure.

For weeks now I have wanted to get myself back on track and always something or someone has been blocking my way.
1. Dh's Post traumatic stress disorder has takien it's toll on me.
2. My feet have been giving me grief for about 3 months and now after new orthotics and adjustments think it may be heel spurs.
3. Excuse after excuse after excuse.

So today after some inspiration from another sparker am starting again.

Don't judge me if I fall over again and have trouble getting back on track.

Just be there to pick up the pieces I may drop and help glue them back together.

You would think I could get it as so many others have.

So todays positive is I am getting up from the computer now and doing some exercise before a planned healthy breakfast.

Thanks for listening to me whine a bit more again.

    You can do this!!! I'll even share some of my favourite motivational quotes, maybe they'll help!

It doesn't matter how slow you go as long as you don't stop.

Fall down 7 times, stand up 8.

People say motivation doesn't last, neither does bathing, that's why they recommend doing it every day.

It's hard to beat a person that never gives up.

Being defeated is only temporary, giving up makes it permanent (this is my favourite quote of the moment and I just added it to a picture on my page, let me know if you would like it and I can email it to you)

    You were never really far away - just hiding a bit - and you will find that the decisionbeing made it will come easily to you!!
Start everyday as a newday - and above all - remember that this isn't a diet - its a way of life - so really you can't fall off - you just take a different fork in the road - but that fork has bought you back to the main track again!!

    I will definitely be here for you to support you and to cheer your on! I have regained all but 7 pounds of the weight I lost so today is a new beginning for me too. I have been exercising but at the same time I've been eating my face off. Today I resumed tracking my food because I know that is what will work for me. emoticon

    All so true Georgia we can find many reasons on the not to rather than I can. I have remotivated but has taken me some time I still look for rewards for good behaviour and they are usually this little bit of cake won't hurt who am I kidding!!!so now I track before I eat (if posssible) and that sure knocks it back seeing how much that little bit won't hurt or I drink yet another glass of water. So good on you hang on in there it will all come with small steps.

Well the sun shone on the city and the day was wonderful. A good brisbane reception for our Spark visitors from near and far.
