After a very slow start this year I have finally reached the halfway mark for my exercise minutes I have set myself for the year. It has boosted my motivation to know I only have less than half the year to reach my goal.

Feels good.

Way to go. A long range goal now past the half way mark and the light is now in sight for completion. I hope you have a nice reward planned for when you reach the goal.

To Err is human to Forgive Divine.

Thursday, July 08, 2010

I have just made the decision to forgive my son the unbearable stress he has given me over a period of time. He may not know this as he has forbidden me to speak to him but nevertheless for me to move on I have to forgive.

The stress has created unbearable weight gain, way too many aches and pains and far too many sleepless nights.

Now I must try and find a way to get my life and health back on track before I completely fall in to the dark void that is wanting to make me another of its victims.

So I forgive you son....

Inconsiderate neighbours

Saturday, June 26, 2010

Our neighbours had a party last night. No problem there.
The music was at good level - no party noise.
That is until after midnight when the music went up loud and up until dawn all you could hear was the bass. Then the arguing and carrying ons began keeping us all awake.
Now after they have woken the whole neighbourhood they have turned it off and gone to bed.
Even after DH asked them to turn it down they didn't.

Some people should not be allowed to drink alcohol. It just affects them so badly.
Then they affect everyone else around them.

I say bake them a cake with that SPECIAL ingredient. lol
Really that kind of neighbor is nasty. We have one of those across the street. After 11 we just call the cops.

We never even heard our previous neighbor! Our new ones, though, do play louder music later into the evening. No fun. You can't control what others do, only how you let it affect you. Hope you find a way to live peaceably with the nuisance!

Find out what your city noise ordinance is. Here it's 10pm. I always call the police if it carries on past 10pm. Maybe I'm a meanie, but I need my sleep!

Okay here we go again...

Monday, May 17, 2010

Got the all clear todayon a medicaltest so have decided yet again and again to try a new beginning from tomorrow.
Cold mornings are not a good time to start but I am going to try again to get my exercise in.
I have been making excuses and life has been throwing me some real problemsand dramas-not to mention all the menopusal symptoms -
plus being an emotional eater have not been kind to me of late.

I am finally getting a grip on my stressors and learning to cope with them so am going to get myself back into gear.
Long work days and limited time are an issue but I will get around it somehow.

I am putting this down on "paper" so as to be accountable.

Don't be too hard on me if I backslide.

My aim is to try and lose 5 of these hanger on kilos by the end of June.
My aim is to walk 4 times a weekfor at least 30 minutes.

Thanks for the support dear friends.

You can do it and as Kleoniki says, just get up when you stumble.
You can do it.

Putting it down on paper! that is a really good and effective thing to do.
It is working for me and believe for almost all Sparkers.
Nevertheless, the most precious thing is the inner strength to start over, again and again as many times as it needs..
In a daily spark article i read: slip four times get on your feet five...!
Sooner or later, girl we are going to make it. We are looking to the right direction and we are not alone in this journey!
have a fruitful weekend!

Stress plays a big factor in my weight loss journey and of late the weight has been going on instead of off. But I am getting control of my body and mind again(with help) and have felt absolutely great this last week.
Now to try and keep up the momentum and keep on going. No weight loss yet but I am trying very hard.
So keep kicking my butt dear friends and if I don't lose it by myself I know some weight will come off from all the kicking I get.
Have a wonderful day and week.

Stress is one of those things that plays havoc with emotions and eating. Its great that you're posting and still trying. As long as you keep coming back and working on changing habits you will be fine (I'm telling myself that as well!).. emoticon
