Back up to 266.6 or 268.6 depending on the day. I have difficulty believing I gained two pounds in a day but I wouldn't put it past me. Trying to jumpstart healthiness again after eating my feelings during the holidays.

Also, my ex signed me up to be on his team for a Warrior Dash on June 16th and I'd like to lose as much as possible by then. Meaning I'd like to lose close to 54 pounds in 6 months. Which tops me out at the healthiest amount to lose in a week so if I don't drop the weight but convert things to muscle I'll be fine with that also!

Although, let's be honest, dropping the weight would be super awesome!

So. Here's to going back to my old lifestyle where I ate more freggies and a heck of a lot less cake. I don't even like cake.

On the Road Again.

Tuesday, September 04, 2012

Well. It's official. I'm on the road again. Literally driving all over the great state of Ohio wishing I could get mail sent to my car since that's the place I am the most. Sadly this has left very little time and motivation to do anything productive on this whole 'get healthy and live longer' path I was working on.

Until now.

If you've read my past blogs you'll know that I'm dating a naturally tiny man with the metabolism of a very small, very excited, mouse. And although he loves how I look now I know that being a healthy weight will give me more time with him (and I mean this in the completely morbid sense not in the if I'm thin he'll love me more.)

I got a yoga mat (forgot mine in Chicago) and a yoga DVD (I have a plethora of these in Chicago but I'm a bit obsessed so one more is fine... right?) Last night I was in bed early for me and actually got 8 hours (!!) of sleep, woke up this morning and did 20 min of yoga. It was hilariously bad since I haven't tried to bend like that in a few months, but, I feel amazing.

And I've been tracking my calories and water (I might have gone on a beef jerky/various baked goods binge right before starting tracking again.....)

In all of this I don't have a scale (can't really stand up straight [or at all] in a Jetta). So I'll be basing everything on how I feel and how things fit. I accidentally brought along my 'skinny' jeans. By the end of this I want them to fit well (I can already ALMOST zip).

I'll bet little man doesn't even notice. He hasn't said anything about the 40 pounds I lost since meeting him. Somehow this makes me happy.

Yep. Was juuuuust able to maintain my weight during this assignment. This makes me happy since I was pretty sure I was going to gain a ton. Now where's my measuring cups to start portion control again.......

Huzzah! I used to be on the road all over the state in my previous career and know how hard it is to stay motivated. Hang in and what a great idea to get the yoga mat and keep the skinny jeans as your marker!

End of my 2nd BLC. Just weighed in a little over 250 lbs and might have done a happy dance. I officially weigh in on Sunday and I'm hoping to just type in 250 so I'm holding off on reporting.

Since starting losing weight, from even before sparkpeople, I've gone from a BMI of 41.8 to 34.9 (-6.9).

Official measurements at the beginning of this BLC:
Weight: 261.4
Waist: 47.75
Hips: 51.5
Thigh: 29.75
Upper Arm: 17.25
Calf: 17.4
Pants Size: Somewhere in the no-mans land between a 16 and 18 as measured by my Old Navy Jeans addiction.

Official measurements at the end of this BLC:
Weight: 250 (and change--Officially 255.5 is still my reported weight)
Waist: 46
Hips: 49.75
Thigh: 29.25
Upper Arm: 17
Calf: 18 (up but
Pants Size: 16!! (down from 18!)

Self confidence? Sky rocketing.

You did a great job. My favorite part was the end about the self confidence, that's really what matters in all of this. Keep it up.

Goals in Least to Greatest:

Lose Weight
Be Healthy
Take Control of My Life
Look Awesomer Naked (let's be honest, sometimes it's the more petty things that drive us the hardest)

Specifically in this BLC I want to complete the 30 day shred. On day 4 today, 4/29. I'm already starting to see a difference in my body (both visual and stamina) and would like to continue this. My self confidence has gone up scads since starting spark just because of the awesome people on here let alone the weight loss that's been facilitated by that.

BLC #14 Official Starting Measurements (In pounds and inches):

Weight: 261.4
Waist: 47.75
Hips: 51.5
Thigh: 29.75
Upper Arm: 17.25
Calf: 17.4
Pants Size: Somewhere in the no-mans land between a 16 and 18 as measured by my Old Navy Jeans addiction.

Think you can do it Generalred?

Unless I puke, faint, or die. All of which will be directly Jillian Michaels' fault. I also blame Jillian for the fact that I might actually live a better, longer, life. I really should write her a thank you letter-- even on day 4 my lower body (**nudge nudge wink wink**) is already starting to look awesome.

First of all. Kudos to past generalred for figuring out the blogging. I'm assuming you've dyed your hair again since to hide the blonde.

How's your confidence feeling? I know you're scared of no longer having something to hide behind but hopefully you're working through that and realizing how much healthier you feel. Both emotionally and physically. And how much more fun it is to not hide.

How's the extra energy treating you? Are you able to keep up with your niece more? Do you finally fit in your 'skinny jeans'? You can already get them on and ALMOST botton them and a year and a half ago they fit perfectly. I'm proud of what past generalred has done--20lbs lost even before joining this awesome group-- I'm proud of you for sticking this out. Kudos to ALBATROSS925 and everyone else in the purple ninjas who have inspired this change!

Keep it up and Well Done!

Dear Past Larger and Future Smaller Generalred

13 pounds and at least half a foot in inches GONE! Those skinny jeans ALMOST fit! Not to mention all the friendships gained! It's been a rocky road with a few set backs but can you even remember the last time you ate fast food? The pink slime debacle didn't even gross you out because you hadn't eaten any in weeks. And the stamina is fantastic. Walking or riding for miles without having to slow down or take a break. Maybe even running is in your (our) future?

And the confidence is m. f-ing back (even with the random leers). Perfect timing too since you're about to duke it out with boy over relationship matters. Yes, you are amazing and now you have more proof. Taking control of this part of my life has reminded me of my self worth-- and I will not take no for an answer from myself or anyone else. :)

So good job and good luck!
