Tuesday, March 05,2013 How am I doing day by day?

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

Today, I feel fantastic. Woke up energetic, looking forward to a productive, healthy eating day.

Planning to juice some of my veggies, I bought yesterday, to consume within the next 12 hours after juicing them. I store in covered mason jars in the frig, separately, then combine depending on the taste I am desiring at the moment.

Hoping to make some flaxseed pancakes up to have on hand, also. This is a maybe for today, because my son is off today so if I get to spend time with him I will. That is more fun and I get extra walking in, also.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs
Linda

wow! What kind of juicer do you have? I am looking into getting one as well as a food processor. The blender and bullet are just not cutting it.

I will have to try the flaxseed pancakes - the kids love pancakes and I love flaxseed! win win!

So happy for you, that's the best way to wake up! I haven't juiced since last summer, I'll have to dust off my juicer and get back into the swing of things....it sounds like it's working really well for you!

What veggies do you juice and what do you add to them?

Isn't is just great when we wake up feeling good!

I like the idea of mixing as you go, so you're not stuck with the same flavor all day. Awesome!
Flaxseed pancakes sound soooo good, too. Do you have a recipe you could share that you like? I'd love to try!

and my Struggles to a Healthier Life?

I won't worry about a slight gain, when I weigh in daily, I will realize weight fluctuates continuously.
I will continue to eat healthy food and beverage choices.
I will continue to not pop soda (pop) Quit: January 14th 2013, that was diet pop, but I will not drink regular pop due to high sugars in it.
I will not drink coffee either I also Quit: January 14th,2013.
If I think about either one, I smile and I say to myself, I'm doing good, feeling good and that is more important! Water especially with ice added, is refreshing.
When I feel alone, or on edge I go someplace where other people gather (corner bar)lol! Enjoy conversation, eat a healthy meal and drink water.

What new habit you wish to develop? Being Content with Myself and my Struggles to a healthier Life

I ask myself, what am I doing?
I'm trying each day to eat healthy.
I get some kind of exercise in, to burn the calories.
I read about what foods do to heal us from the inside out.
I watch shows that provide education, on getting healthier.
I try to put it all together, in a simplified version, to have and to share, at times.
I feel on top of the world often when everything is working as planned.
I change things a bit to make them work better, if not.
I feel, each time I feel success, I feel pride and pride feels good!

I love this. Take one meal at a time. Absolutely adore it. Thank you for reminding me. I am pretty good if I "slip up" to get right back on the saddle. I still have a hard time remembering that half a cup of scalloped potatoes once a WEEK is not a slip up though. But, I guess it is better to be hyper vigilant than so "oh it doesn't matter".

somebody once told me "Oh, it will be worth it in the end." to me, if it's not worth is now, it won't be worth it later. Not being the big negative voice in your own head is such a challenge. Can't wait to read the rest of your ideas.

Good advice to start with the next meal - that is the way to be successful. Putting it off will always lead to putting it off and never restarting!

Yes, after a falling off, the best thing is to pick yourself up, put it behind you and get on with it again.

Your point about not waiting to bounce back from "slips" is a great reminder. Before SP I would easily fall into that "I'll start on Monday" mentality. Eating healthier (specifically more fruits/veggies) is the new habit I'm trying to integrate. Speaking of which... I need to go fix breakfast emoticon emoticon
