Weigh in day.

I stayed even.

No loss. No gain.

Why am I so disappointed?

    We always are disappointed because we wanted to
do better. The competitive nature of most people
comes out. HUGS!

The clock

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

My active little 2 1/2 year old grand daughter and I watched the clock move this morning for over twenty minutes. The clock has roman numerals for numbers and it is a real clock, not digital.

We spend a lot of that time sitting talking about time, numbers and why the arrows are called hands.

We also talked about Roman Numerals.

I just can't imagine what is going through that little girls mind.

I = one, what happened to 1.
II = two, what happened to 2.
Now what?
V = five. What happened to IIIII. No pattern here.

Now what are you telling me?

I = 1 = 5.
II = 2 = 10.

I just answered her questions with "No one said life would be easy."

I guess that hard life starts early.

    Ah, but you are teaching her valuable lessons that she
will take with her. Life is so much more complicated
and kids seem to pick up information so easy. I am
sure she will understand it even if it doesn't seem to
make sense right now.
Have a wonderful time! HUGS!

Ricky

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

My son. Ricky. Came over today and cleaned the inside and outside of my car. My car looks so pretty now.

Then my wonderful son took his niece to the park and climbed on all the equipment. I sat there and wondered which one of them would be the first to get tired and quit. Have you guessed which one quit? If you guessed me you are right. It was hot and even just sitting there in the sun made me tired so we went home.

Then my son went for a one mile run. Not jog, like what I do. A run. In the middle of the day. In the heat. And I don't think he even sweated.

After dinner, I was going for my 3 mile run. My son came with me to keep me company. He had to do all the talking because he was breathing and I was just huffing and puffing.

When we got back from the jog, I sat down and tried to catch my breath. My son went out to play basketball with Penny.

After reliving yesterday in my blog, I need a nap.

Imagination

Monday, May 28, 2012

My wonderful grand daughter 2 1/2 is finally starting to pretend.

How exciting to see her play.

Yesterday my daughter and husband came over and they got turned into a frog, rabbit and kangaroo with the pretend magic wand.

What is more fun to watch?

A 2 1/2 year old using her imagination,

or two 30+ professional adults jumping around to the commands of a 2 1/2 year old with a pretend magic wand?

    It's worth making a fool of yourself to hear a 2 year old squel.

My son came over and worked the garden for me. He worked non stop to move 2 yards of dirt and till the ground. He is a hard worker. Finishing in half a day what would have taken me several days to do.

I have the best son ever.
