Worked on bathroom wallpaper removal, worked on cleaning my reading room, hung curtains, and cooked a pot roast. Busy day. Lots to do tomorrow. I got an e-mail to see if we can host an AFS student for a few weeks so she can change houses, so now I've got an extremely busy day of moving furniture, clearing out closets, and who know what. Eating was not a problem today. Will settle down in a bit and watch Under the Tuscan Sun. I did find some recipes that we lower cal. and low fat and I made two for my husband for tomorrow. I'm going to make myself some yummy stuffed mushrooms, and have a few other legal snacks for the big game tomorrow. I think it will all work out fine. Everything is going AOK.

Sometimes I sort of dread the weekend, not the rest, but the not pigging out. It can be hard to resist. Now we've got Super Bowl Sunday. I just ate dinner and am headed for the store for SBS snacks. I am going to get decent food, and take some time to prepare healthy snacks that I can have. We're not even a big football family, but could use that game as a snack fest with junk, so I need to be prepared with light, low fat, healthy foods. My husband and I have always been, yeah, it is Friday night so let's pig out for 2 night and 2 days. He's not overweight. So I'm making this my challenge -- to prepare lots of fun, nice and healthy and eatable by me food for the big game.

I had a half turkey sandwich for lunch and a cut up orange. I started eating my orange and the strangest thing happened after 4 slices.............I realized I was full. Mind you this isn't a lot of food. So, I stopped, I actually knew I was full and stopped eating. Put it back to save for the next day. It was kind of neat when I realized this. Doing well at eating at the table, but still not what I'd call slow. I think I better move on in BDS to next day, but I must continue to work on the eating slow. Tomorrow is snowy Friday, but still Friday. I'm tired of the horrid daily commute on ice each morning and am praying to see the first daffodil. I may cry when I realize it is Spring.

Made healthy stir fry (tiny bit of chicken) and rice for dinner. I thought, why not use my chopsticks -- it would be a good way to slow down and concentrate on my day 5, slow & mindful eating. Worked great. So I many do this often. It is kind of fun and makes you think about getting the food in your mouth. Had a good day and back on track. We have snow coming for the next few days. I'm not use to all the snow. It is neat to walk in the fresh stuff and hear the crunch, squeek. So, all goes well. I did not get on the scale today (something I'm working on). Guess that's about all the excitement here. The weekend is getting closer and that's great.................... (I think I wish my life away waiting for the weekend to come).
