Only 5 days vacation, NOT ENOUGH. Enjoy your trip and every minute of those 5 days.

Can't give any advice on the balance thing. Still trying to figure that one out for myself. Nothing I've tried has worked long term so far but I'm still trying.

I found that if I exercise in the morning even if it means getting up earlier then I have no excuse to not complete it. I made it a priority. I have three children, care for an ill mom, work most often 2 jobs and until this past May had college too. I was working on my Master's degree. When I started exercising I had to do it in the morning b/c it made me feel great getting it out of the way for the day. Enjoy your vacation w/ your mom and relax for a bit. our bodies honestly do need rest.

Thanks You two... Vacation does not start until Friday when I have a nine hour drive...Gonna have a BBQ and walk the dog and see the garden and meet friends and be with Family... This is what counts...I was on a bowling team...swam and roller bladed as a kid... Not sure why the light went out in me in the aspect of exercise...Maybe three kids... A trashed life...learning I have a third bone in my foot... hmmm... Not sure what it is... Other priorities such as Candy Crush Saga or Tribez.... Not too sure where my priorities lay... But I do know one thing... I'm in love With Phil Collins... emoticon emoticon

Finding balance can be difficult, it usually means cutting out some things that we enjoy to make room for things that we should be doing. Enjoy the visit with your mom and best of luck finding your balance!

Reflection

Sunday, June 16, 2013

Well, it's almost father's Day... Can't say that I have any of those, but there are good men out there I would appreciate as my father... Happy Father's Day to the good men out There. And even though my boo is not a daddy, happy father's day to him too... Some of us get robbed of a good life, and well I want those of us to be happy, though it's hard. I am learning through this site that I have more fun working towards my calorie range more than anything. I like that I can track my food, and even if I have that Pepsi and Coffee every single day, I can get close to my calorie range. It is excruciating, for me to let go of things... Well, because I have lost so much. I am thankful for what I have though, but still. This is why I can't trash the sweets and junk I like so much. I do like to add good stuff into the mix, and hey I was exercising a lot when my boyfriend was around and about ten pounds lighter, but lacking in sleep. Life to me is slow and boring, but once in a while it seems to be full of excitement. I have fun working so hard. At least I found a niche where it satisfies me. And I can secretely pat myself on the back for a job well done. No too much more to say tonight. I might try and exercise this week. I will see...Cheers to all! emoticon

find what works and than ask if it is really working if you are defending the action maybe it time to rethink or simply let go of the defense learning to truly be ok with a choice in the moment and a hour latter takes practice and hard work but you can do it because you are worth it hugs

i understand holding on to what you now have because of all the things you lost when you had no control over it. but keeping all those things will drag you down. now you are in control, so examine what you have. keep only the things that are good for you. comfort does not some in quantity, but in quality.

There's nothing more comforting than a sweet - that's the way I was raised and it took me a long time to realize that today's brownies would not make me happy for very long at all. At least once a day, I make a cup of green tea, sit down by myself and ask, what worked for me today? What would make it better? What can I do differently?

Just taking stock every day can point you in the direction you need to go.

You can do it!!

It sounds like you need to find some things to do that are fun and exciting. Time to get out that bucket list or make some more interesting goals.
I have a friend that lost 150 pounds and had a mini chocolate candy bar everyday. You need to figure out what path for you to take. Just don't give up. emoticon emoticon

The key is find the things that work for you, otherwise you'll be unhappy doing things that you don't like. Work towards small goals, take small steps, they will all add up.
