Biggest Loser

Friday, April 01, 2011

Well, I am about a week in & I have lost about 2 lbs. I have to say, I really haven't been doing anything different other than starting to eat better. I really have to get moving because I know that I need to burn calories too! At least the weather is getting better so I can start taking walks.

In my experience, exercise makes me stronger but only less, and better quality food, makes me smaller. Keep up the good work! emoticon

Diet is 90% of this, so you can lose weight without exercising as you see. Exercising is great for a number of reasons, but I'd put the burning calories pretty far down on the list.

Well, I am going to give it a go again!

Sunday, March 27, 2011

Well, here I go again. I am going to start the process again. It has been along time since I have been on here, but tomorrow is always another day.
So, I am starting with a weigh in again to get my starting point and I will go from there. I think that I have found a weight loss buddy who can help me stay accountable, but I know that ultimately it is up to me. But it is always nice to have someone who understands the struggle that you can talk to. My husband is 6'2" and 185lbs. I have to say I would love to be down to 185. I don't think he understands how hard it is to keep on track, although, he is a smoker, and has tried a few times to quit, but he likes smoking, so really didn't try hard. It also doesn't help that he can eat almost anything and not gain, but such is life.
Anyway, on with the weigh-in and on with the weight loss journey!

Been awhile

Monday, October 05, 2009

Well, it certainly has been awhile and I cannot say that it has been very productive. I know that it isn't an excuse, but it has been a stressful time lately. My niece and her kids have moved in with us to get out of a bad relationship. I am hoping that she is done with it and can move on. I know that it will be hard for her because they have 2 kids together. But on the bright side I have lost another pound. One pound down many more to go!
Anyway, until next time!

5 Lbs more down!

Friday, September 11, 2009

I am down to 255.7 lbs, so I am happy about that. I just need to stay motivated and get my exercise in and I know that I will lose alot more. I have got the eating right (most of the time, though I do lapse sometimes). Lots of good recipes on sparkrecipes.com and I try to motify whatever we are having.
Well until next time....

Here I am once again!

Saturday, September 05, 2009

Well, I am off to a good start again. I got out and walked a little over a mile yesterday. I also stuck to my menu for the day. I just felt so much better yesterday.
I was glad that I did my walk before work though because it was an extremely busy day. Working at McDonald's as a manager is a stressful job and the food always leads to temptation. I know that I have to work around it though and I do know that it is possible because while here last year I lost 20 lbs in 2 months and I worked here then.
NO EXCUSES....I just need to do it like I did then. A plus is that this year I have the wiifit so I can exercise in the winter months.
Well am off to work, wish me luck!

You have the right attitude to do fantastic things. Keep positive in your thinking & actions. I have the WiiFit also, it is great to get you up & moving. Some of the activities are so much fun you forget you are up & doing things. Good luck. emoticon

Congratulations ..... working at McD's (or any restaurant) and still being able to lose weight. It's all about priorities and whether we think WE are important enough for our needs to be a proirity. Even with a family and consequently, limited time for yourself, just remember that when you are taking care of yourself, you are better able to take care of everyone else.
May you have a blessed weekend! emoticon
