and a brand new Zumba DVD!

We are all a work in progress no mater what we are trying to change. Life is a mystery and we just have to solve the puzzle which will always be changing. I stopped by to see what you are up to as you are 1 of my Spark friends and i would say you are doing great. FACTS...

1. I've lost and gained the same 4 pounds for a month and a half.
2. I am not proud of that.
3. I NEED this challenge and the SSV TEAM to help encourage me.
4. I am on a sabbatical/maternity leave and am taking three graduate courses this semester. I return to teaching in January. I am also teaching dance on Monday nights, Zumba on T, TH, and Sat. I am planning a wedding. I want to look fantastic in my dress. I have no down time.
5. I have three girls. My fiance is cranky. There is too much estrogen up in here.
6. My oldest girls are back in school. My eight-month-old is trying to eat my slipper. I am trying to focus.... but she smells like poo.... be right back...
7. I am a new Zumba Instructor. I am teaching at my fiance's gym. He is a personal trainer and he is marrying me. ME. -- the woman with a lousy self-body image who is still 'obese.'
8. This makes me feel inadequate. I am coping.
9. I am venting. I am frustrated. I need to stop the nonsense.
10. I feel better now! --- Let's get those PUMPKINS less round by Halloween!

GOALS:

1. Drink enough water... at least my 8 glasses. I want to float away and make mad dashes to the bathroom. I am not drinking enough. Why? I'd rather drink diet tea and coconut rum. (not together!)
2. Lose 10 pounds by Halloween. If I could lose more, it would be the cherry on top of the sundae... or the stem on top of the pumpkin.... NO SUNDAES!
3. Create and complete daily challenges for this team.... all that will directly help us lose weight.
4. Zumba 5X a week --- I am going to be teaching back to back classes on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I may just drop from exhaustion.... good thing I will be drinking extra water.
5. NO EXCUSES. FOCUS. CHALLENGE IS EVER PRESENT. WHOLE-HEARTED DEVOTION. -- READ THIS WHEN TEMPTATION OR LAZINESS STRIKES!
6. BLOG every MONDAY. PERIOD. IT'S MONDAY. THIS WILL BE MY FIRST BLOG POST of the SKINNY Pumpkins CHALLENGE.

WE CAN DO THIS!!!! LET'S SMASH THOSE NUMBERS!!!!!

    Gurl you got your hands and feet busy. WOW! My kids are older now thank God! but I think you are doing awesome. Even thought my kids are older the mom duties are still their...they just changed up a bet. I am praying for your strength. You sound like me I spoke of pampering myself in my blog. You need some me time. Be encouraged soon one day your kids will grown...leave and then you'll wonder when they will come and see you in the mean time keep going! emoticon

I can only say that if I had been as determined as you have been, had stepped outside my comfort zone as much as you have (by teaching Zumba) and lost as much weight as you have, not only would I be at my goal weight, but you'd probably hear me shouting right there where you are ..... and I live in Bama! Don't be so hard on yourself. After all, you could take the time you use motivating and encouraging us and spend it on yourself and you'd probably be better off........ but we would not be. You're GREAT but you're also entitled to the feelings you expressed!!!!
Wish I could make you feel better, but I honestly have no doubt that you will reach your goals.
Take care and know that your team thinks you're phenomenal!!!! emoticon

    I also hit I rut this month so I feel your pain. I am so looking forward to this challenge and can not wait to get started. It is awesome that you are now a ZUMBA instructor! emoticon I am in awe of my instructor as my hips do not quite move like that (but I am noticed some improvement). I wish you the best of luck on your personal goals and I am sure that you can make it happen.

    You can totally do this!! You encourage all of us that are part of the ((((SSV)))) team and you're going to do it with this challenge! You should read some of the comments you leave us and apply them to you! You have quite a busy schedule so make sure you leave room for a little "me" time. You deserve it! I just know that those 10 pounds you're looking to lose will be gone by Halloween!! Thanks for all you do for us!!
