Low metabolism

I had likely begun getting a headache and every day I got tired in daytime and had to go to bed and recover. I couldnt do anything and get things done.

And my weight went up in stead of down.

At my doctor I got a blood test and she could see I have to low metabolism.
So now I get some pills called eltroxin.

Maybe some of you have the same symptoms? This can be the reason if your overweight!!

Ive been on a diet before.
Last time I lost 10 kg and took on 15 kg afterwards.
So I seek knowledge that makes a difference.
1. A diet has to be combined with physical training...If not it may be muscles that are lost and this lowers the fat burning.
2. I read that there has to be 2-3 hours between consumption.. If not fat burning is prevented.
3. Drink a lot of water before a meal. Not during the meal or just after cause this washes the food fast through the body and makes you hungry right after the meal.
4. I sit to long in front of the computer. I love it. It has a magnetic effect to me. But it is a passive way of passing the day. I would like a trick there. This is a very weak point.

To day I joined a group for a walking tour.
I brought my camera so I had to run after each photo to catch up with the others.
This gave some extra exercise.





I also went out in the water and catched some small animals with rubber clothes on.

    Yes Ive never tried going into the water in rubber clothes. It is rubberboots with atached rubber that goes up to over the breast. emoticon

Today I read an inspiring blog by Taffin with wise suggestions.
One was to take a photo as fast as possible to see progress.
And it could be for private use. I raced to the bathroom and took some underwear photos for my own view of progress.
Well I am 54 so it is possible Ill look better fat than with hanging skin. However the most important will be to take stairs with ease and walk and get up easily from low furniture and the floor.
AND MY BICYCLE TRIP
Ive moved recently and to day I finally got around to bicycle to the nearest bigger city rather than taking the car. First I phoned the bookstore to learn their closing hour. I had to hurry. And first I found out some of the road was forbidden for bikers.. so I had to take a suggested and longer way so the 9 km took 35 min and I arrived quite sweaty just before they closed. After that I went to a caf and got some hot chocolate without whipped cream. The lady suggested a route I could follow..
I loosed my way totally. So the route back home took 2 hours. So I got a good look at the forest and a circle trip.
On a diet losing the way is a great advantage if you are by bike or walking.
And I also found out it is a good idea not to bring more money than you want to spend so no fast food is bought. emoticon

The cake - What shall I do?

Ive started teaching ceramics at my home once a week. And another place once a week.
Yesterday at my home one suggested that we should make a cake for every time.
And she would like to be the first.
I and another explained we never bake cakes.
It is a Danish and maybe a international tradition to eat cake when gathering.
I fear that afterwards I will sit alone with rest of the cake.
I have some solutions - What do you think?
a. I can throw the rest of the cake in the garbage
b. I can say the person who brings shall bring the rest home.
c. I can say the person who brings something can bring other things than cakes for instance.. I have an appletree and a juicemachine and right now I can make beautiful red applejuice. It could also be some fruit.
Is solution B. rude?
Solution A. There is a reason why Im fat. I have a big appetite and this will not be nice but maybe neccesairy.
5 of the 8 are quite fat. But this does not have to be their issue
What would you do?

    They pay for the ceramic lesson and this must be my focus.
Actually the leader of the school came about some accounts wednesday and brought a cake.
Yesterday evening I throw it in the garbage can without any feeling except that it was part of housecleaning.
Had it been nuts or chocolate it had been a different situation for me. I feel for the solution about a mini piece to taste and then telling it is OK to bring homemade bread or carrot slices or fruit instead of cake.
One bag of peanuts is about 1000 calories. A tiny cake of cm is maybe 200 calories. emoticon Usually I am so occupied teaching so I can -forget- eating the cake.
It was a good experience to thrash the cake emoticon

    I suspect that if your attendees understood that you would flush the cake down the toilet if they didn't take it home, they would not leave it (no one wants to "waste" food!).. You can even invite them to watch it as a "solemn ceremony of liberation" before they leave.

You wouldn't have to justify the action except as self preservation and with forewarning.

One piece of cake isn't what does me in.... it's the not STOPPING at one piece.

    You need to explain to them why the cake needs to leave your home. Tell them that you are trying to lose weight and that there also should be a healthy option if snacks are going to be in place. That way you can eat and not have to indulge in the cake. It is fine to tell people that you do not want cake left in your home. Send that cake out of there.
