I think I learned alot yesterday. I feel better now that I ate at home and just relaxed. Why worry about calories right now just track it and discover the habits and patterns that come up. I am not fat because of calories. I am fat because I drown my emotions in food. Lets see what the triggers are and learn how to cope without food. I wish I had some people in town that understood. I have a great church family but they just dont get it or just dont want to talk about it. Funny how that works, huh.

Wow. I had a very bad fast food day. I am loving my food log because it shows me exactly why I was not in the mood to cook dinner. When you only have some popcorn and a plum for lunch I think you can expect a drop in energy around 5ish. i should be eating more protien in the afternoon instead of crashing and loosing all slelf control.

    Even though you may have had an off day at least you learned from it!

Of course your energy would drop with that lunch, try more whole grains as well or foods with high fiber content.

Also try to have small snacks to keep you energized throughout the day, even if it is something as small as 5 almonds or a piece of fruit.

Experiment until you find something that works for you, remember to drink water throughout the day as well, it should keep both you and your metabolism going!

How reconnecting with my youth killed my diet.

Hmmmm...Today I got together with a couple of my best friends for an afternoon without the kids. It all started great...then...while telling stories of our teenage years...a little green "cigarette" made an appearance. Well, I once again succumbed to the pressure to "feel" young. Now I am left with a VERY messy kitchen and a bad sugar hangover. Was there really a time in my life when that was "cool"?? I am so glad that choices come with consequences. So...again...I start over. As myself, and no matter if that turns out to be the soccer mom that I vowed to never be in high school. I need to be OK with me first.

Well, I guess I am a little less excited about this year. I decided to log my food and exercise no matter if I am trying or not. Somehow I feel that I am going to feel much more accountable if I do. So, if you look at today you will see how crappy I did. That is the way I eat everyday and I was wondering why I am fat. First step is seeing and being aware of the ways I need to change. Never give up, right??
