Prepping for the weekend

I had a really good day today. For the first time since I've been tracking food, my dinner was not my biggest meal. In fact, I ate less than I planned because I just wasn't that hungry. It feels really good to know that my body is reacting so positively to my new way of life.

I am, however, starting to worry a bit about this weekend. I just agreed to let some friends stay for the weekend, which will challenge both my eating and my Saturday/Sunday workouts. I am still really self-conscious about working out in front of others (even my husband) and my company are early risers. On top of that, we all like to eat, a lot. So it will be a challenge to make food that we will all eat and enjoy (and have enough of-it can't cost too much!) and stay within my goals. I think I am up to the challenge though, we'll see.

Goals for tomorrow:
5am 30DS and Yoga
Eat more at during daytime meals (B-fast/Snack/Lunch) than at dinner

    I'm with you girl! Stay focused. You can't let ANYTHING or BODY get in you way. PLEASE yourself not others. You know what to do now do it!

Veteran's Day

I had today off of work, ah, the joys of being a teacher. Days off always seem to be harder for me, nutrition-wise. I just don't seem to eat as well. Today I ended up going to the Discovery Center with some friends, which was great, but they all brought lunch and I only brought snacks. We ended up being there a lot longer than I had intended and I never really got a good afternoon meal. Then I was watching my friend's kids tonight and fed them mac and cheese and fish sticks; I couldn't resist the mac and cheese even though I had my own dinner all planned out. I still made it work, but it wasn't as easy as it should have been. I did get my exercise in this morning though. Overall a positive day.

Goals for tomorrow:
5am CardioMax and Yoga
Pack a healthy lunch for work
Walk to the playground after school
Stay with-in calorie guidelines (having steak for dinner)

Had another really good day today. I got to teach yesterday and today, it was a tough class but really rewarding. It's amazing the difference I noted in myself since I joined SP. Even though I knew this could be a really bad 2 days, I put a smile on my face, talked much more positive than I felt and made the best of it. At the end of today, i was sad that I won't see these kids again. Not only can I feel myself getting healthier physically, but also mentally. I'm starting to get the old "Early to bed, early to rise..." thing.

I found myself again way below where I needed to be for my nutritional goals today, so I had an extra snack before dinner and that got me leveled out. It's almost like I'm trying to be too healthy. (Is that even possible?) I'm also almost at my calories burned goal for the week already and it's only Tuesday! I hoping for another strong week this week, especially as I start planning my T-give dinner.

Goals for tomorrow:
Sleep in until 6 or even 7 (no school tomorrow means no work!)
AM 30DS and Yoga
Go grocery shopping so I can plan meals for a week instead of day by day.

    Sounds like some good plans...being a state worker I'm also off tomorrow. While I have lots to do indoors, I'm seriously thinking of getting up at 7 and hitting the road with my bike for maybe sneaking in one last ride for the season...? We'll see...! :-)

On a roll

Weigh in day today-down another 5 lbs (10 total in 3 weeks) and it feels great! I've really gotten into a good rhythm with my morning workouts and eating less has gotten easier. I now find myself needing to eat more than I intended in order to get enough nutrients.

Goals for tomorrow:
AM Cardio and Yoga (60 min)
Eat well
Keep this feeling of healthy motivation going for the week.
Maintain the good and positive mood I had for most of today.

Finishing the weekend strong (mostly)

Wow, I really had a good weekend, and I'm really thankful that I took the time to think about everything before it happened. I managed to get my exercise in both days (cardio max and yoga today) and stayed well within my nutritional goals both days. My only goal I didn't meet was drinking my 8 cups of water today. I think by the time I go to bed I will have had 6 or 7, I'm still trying to get all 8 in, but I only have about 40 minutes left. I'm also hoping to go to bed early tonight so that I can do an early morning workout tomorrow.

I did go and buy new sneakers today. They were a lot more than I wanted to spend, but my hubby assures me that it's worth it. We'll see. I also got new socks and a new outfit to workout it (1/2 price!) I'm looking forward to another really good week. I am so motivated to get healthy this go round, I feel like it has to happen.

Goals for tomorrow:
5am 30DS and yoga (55 min total)
Eat healthy and stay within goals
