The great thing about a hard workout, like yesterday's bike or a long run, is how strong you feel when it's done. Gwen and I spent the whole ride home discussing what races we wanted to do in the future. How much more we can push ourselves. What a blessing to have a friend that not only pushes me but is happy to be pushed in return!

Today we did a 5 mile run together. It was gorgeous weather again, and not as hot. This afternoon I got to run around with Alexis playing "soft ball" and hula hooping before a healthy dinner. I realized today how much I have truly changed. Never mind the fact that I would never have been able to play outside with Alexis 3 years ago. Today I actually hesitated to take a job for tomorrow because it would mean missing a workout with Gwen doing hill repeats. I am disappointed that I am missing a killer running workout. WHAT?? Yup, this is the new me. 3 more days of running this week and a 3 hour (!) bike ride planned for Saturday. Woo Hoo!

Goals for tomorrow:
80+ oz water
AM workout: 30 day shred
PM workout: run/bike/run
Track my food and make good choices

Mon 4/16-Woo Hoo

What a great day!! Gorgeous blue sky, loads of sunshine and temps near 80*! Knowing I wanted to get out on my bike today, I invited LadyGwen25 along to give me some pointers. Being the great friend that she is, she picked up me and my bike, brought me some bike shorts and then took me on a 22 mile ride! WOOT! I haven't ridden more than 6 miles since last year and my longest ride ever was only 10 miles. While I can't say I kept up the whole time, I *think* I held my own and we finished in just under 90 minutes. So, Thanks again Gwen, for pushing me when I wasn't sure I could do it. emoticon

I ate pretty well today, though I did treat myself to some ice cream tonight. Got in lots of water, it was hot today! heading to bed soon, probably before 9:30. Make tomorrow awesome!

AM workout: 30+ minute run
PM workout: 30 min cardio/toning
Track my food and make good choices

    The longest I ever rode on a bike was 24 miles...but I was 17 years old!

Today was the last day of my break...kinda. As a substitute, I don't anticipate working tomorrow, but Alexis goes back to school. It was a good day today. Starting with a 6:30 am 10 miler with LadyGwen25. A nice, easy run but a good workout none the less. After the run and breakfast we went to church together and I registered for the Women of Faith conference for this fall. I can't wait! I've been a few times and it always recharges me.

After church Alexis and spent most of the rest of the day just hanging out. We played some games, watched some movies, snuggled a lot and enjoyed each others company. Choir tonight rounded out the day nicely and now I am off to bed. Going to try to work out my biking muscles a little harder tomorrow while Alexis is at school. Should be a beautiful day!

AM workout: 1 hour bike
PM workout: 30 min cardio/toning
Track my food and make good choices

Ate well today, got in all of my planned exercise, nearly done with my water. It was a good day. Should even make it into bed on time. Long run planned for early, 6 am, with a friend tomorrow, so I need my rest!

Goals for tomorrow:
80+ oz water
AM workout: long (10 miles?) run
PM workout: N/A, maybe a core workout
Track my food and make good choices

Definitely feeling better today, I got in my workouts, ate really well, and drank plenty of water. A and I got outside and enjoyed the sunshine and then watched a movie together before bed. I booked my hotel for Marine Corp marathon AND registered for this year's Warrior Dash. I'm going to do the one in NE Pennsylvania this year instead of NYs, try something a little different.

I've got a long run planned for Sunday morning and I need to burn only about 300 calories tomorrow to meet my goal for the week. Make it a great day!

AM workout: 20 min tempo run
PM workout: 30 mins cardio/toning
Track my food and make good choices

    WTG signing up for those races, hubby did the Dash here last year and loved it, he's thinking about doing it again and I'm thinking about joining him if my knee can hold out
