I think I'm doing a bit better, but not out out the woods yet with my knee problem. I have started doing bootcamp again a couple of days ago, just being careful with my left knee, which makes me feel better knowing I can particapate again, don't like to be a quiter if possible. We had a very nice weekend, helped celebrate some friends birthdays by going out to dinner followed by birthday cake and ice cream at our house, which they were unaware of---so they were surprised. It is always nice when you can surprise someone.Today we had the Viking-Dallas game on and enjoyed the outcome, wishing the Vikings best of luck in New Orleans. Tonight I just did well, not much sat and relaxed ( could have ironed some clothes but hey theres always tomorrow). I have a eye appointment tomorrow, anxious to see if my eyes are failing any tests-haha, just part of aging. Actually my prescription hasn't changed in three years, so would be due for a slippage of eye sight. Well, gotta go finish the last set of windmills for quick challenge and think about heading for nightie night.

I injured my knee and leg on my left, so darn annoying for me. I barely walked both Sunday and Monday. Today was able to do bootcamp since it was for the upper body ( thank goodness), I'm not good at not being able to do some sort of workout. I also went to the gym and did upper body strengthening. I aldo started to do some walkibut only in the house, walking through all the rooms, but it's ok,better than nothing. Refuse to do to much walking out doors as the streets and some sidewalks still in bad ice codition. It will be interesting to see how I will feel Wednesday after activity today, as still having some pain , especially going up and down steps.

I like a lot of spark members joined the body bootcamp. I was a bit apprehensive before it started, but four days in I am really enjoying the process. I also discovered parts of my body is getting a much better experience with this bootcamp. I have been working out for several years, but found there is always muscles that evidently are not being used as much; so I think I made the right choice in signing up for bootcamp. I also joined the quick fire challange team at the same time, so I am going head on with revving up my workouts for the future, as the more you learn and can do the better the workouts can be; with being able to do more interchanging of exercises. Here to the future in 2010 that we all can enjoy what we are learning from Sparks People an can apply all we learn for happy, healthier lives in this new year. Happy new years to all you sparkers out there.

A new year has emerged, time to move forward from our achievments and disappointments of the year that ended, hopfully, learning from the mistakes we have mad. We all have good intentions, but being human we don't always follow through with what we wanted to achieve. I myself, hardly lost the weight that I wanted back in Feb. when I joined sparks, and I know I have two months before my first sparkaversity; but I'm making a fresh start now in the new year. I know I' not a big winner for not losing all I wanted. I also think I'm a winner for having learned a lot from sparks and getting a foundation down for consistently working out doing both cardio and strengthening exercises. I now joined both the body bootcamp that starts in a few days and the Quickfire Challenge team to boost myself along on this journey I have commited myself to doing. I expect to make better strides this year of 2010, and just might reach my goal, if not will continue this journey until I do.

WE arrived home about 9:30 PM from our daughters home in Prior Lake Mn. and happy to arrive home for the evening as the snow is still running and should continue into Saturday. I must say the state is doing a great job on the freeways, with plowing and dropping the chemical stuff to help keep us as safe as possible on the major roads. Our son decided to drive tonight, as he has 4 wheel drive on his SUV, that does help. We had a wonderful time with our daughter and her family. and a tasty meal too. So can relax for a while, until Friday afternoon, then we are scheduled to go to DH's sister for Christmas mid afternoon dinner, will have to see what we get for snow by then. Wishing all you sparkers a very Merry Christmas.
